Always wanted to know this. I know he's strong and has somewhat of a good body for 60 years but he's a small guy. At least that's what someone told me. Anyway, i'd like to know his stats, like how much he can bench and ****.

not "small" just no arnold....He is like 5'9'' 200? I dont no his weight, but if you look at guys at the gym that are around that height it is not uncommon to see 225's and up.
there was an article in the newspaper the other day about him being busted for bringing illegal supplements to Australia. i guess he had some sort of growth hormone stuff with him when he flew in and that's considered importing contraband.
to answer your question, i don't know his stats, but he's a strong guy for a 60 some yr old. he was pretty mean and lean in that last Rocky movie.
I think he tore his pec doing 400 when he was having a bench off with Franco Columbo (or something). I assume that would be around his max. No idea on his current #s. He's in great shape, but probably a lot less.
without steriods?
0! bam.

It happened around 1979-1980 so it must have been while preparing for Rocky II since his chest looked fine in the first one. You can really notice the tear in 3 and 4 where the guy is seriously ripped.

Judging from your attitude, it's pretty clear that you could take steroids all your life and never achieve half of the strength he did.

In the second or third one he said he came in at 3% bf. --O/T but sweet.

"The 60-year-old American actor, who had been in the country to promote his latest film, Rocky Balboa, faces a charge of importing a banned substance after airport staff found 48 vials of the hormone Jintropin in his luggage."
When I first heard about this, they said "illegal supplements". This forum has a thread on supplements that have been seized by Australian customs http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=467059&highlight=Australia
so I wasn't sure if they were blowing it out of proportion or not. Apparently not. Looks like he was trying to maintain his Rocky muscles for filming John Rambo.
Were those dummy plates he was using in Rocky Balboa? I'm not sure if I recall correctly, but it looked like he clean and jerked either 225 or 315, and squatted 405+...

that looks really unhealthy/disgusting
that looks really unhealthy/disgusting
Bad lighting and he could use a tan. For 60, regardless of whatever drugs he's used, he looks pretty damn good if you ask me. How many guys his age look like this?

If you noticed, they never really showed him "squatting" that weight. The cameras seemed to focus more on his upper body during the lift, but anytime it showed his knees, it was at best a 1/4 squat.
Anyway, he is in phenomenal shape for any age, but especially at 60, regardless how he got there.

Be on the lookout for that alternate ending. It's sweet. ;)

Like you said, for 60 the guy looks great, regardless of what he used. I don't think enough people appreciate just how hard it must be to pull it off at that age. Everyone thought he was going to embarrass himself but he went out in style.

Yep, it's a great finale. Reminded me a whole lot of the first couple of films, and definitely made up for the fifth one.
couldnt care less.

Perfect bookend so to speak. The ones in the middle, especially 3 & 4, were more novelty movies, although still fun. Anyway I left feeling really pumped to train and get really fit again after spending a month on the sidelines :)
