At what age do guys stop growing in height?

I'm 5ft8 and would love another inch. I am 19 in a couple of weeks.

i think its like 21 for males?, try doing some hight stretches, (check youtube or google), could help improve your posture and add another inch or so to you :)

I've heard 21, and even "up to" 25. However, I reached my maximum height at 16years old :(

I always thought I had another couple inches to go...until I looked at a calendar and noticed that was a 3 year long unrealized dream.

Everyone is different. Some will stop growing at the age of 16, some will stop at 25. You just have to wait and see. And look at your family, dad, mom, gramps, and siblings. If they're all tiny, chances are you will be too. If some are tall, you still have hope

Yeah, but height is more random than most genetic makeup. There are many short parents with tall kids or vice versa. I'm 5'7, hoping to go to at least 5'10 >.> At 15, turning 16 in May

im 18 i've grown over 2 inches in the past year so im defs still growing

Varies from person to person. Guys stop growing when they're 21, but a lot of that is bone thickening, broadening, etc etc etc.

yeah, Im 5'7 and 19 in May :< Starting to worry, doctors always told me I would be over 6ft but I don't think it is going to happen.

Well at 19 I'm still getting taller. My older brother went from 6' to 6'2 when he was 24, so I hope I can still get a bit taller.

Cycle some estrogen blocking supplements, mostly derived from natural testosterone boosters. Estrogen causes the growth plates to close. But yeah, 21-22 is about the age when you'll stop growing height wise. The rest of your body will fill out until at least 30.

Man...20-25?!....Fuuuu i'm never going to catch up to my height.

Stopped growing about a year ago. Since then I've been religiously checking my height every two months or so, but still at 5'7". Stopped checking recently...lol

I'm happy with my height. Means I don't have to pack on so much poundage to be big. :D

The doctor said I stopped growing at 16 and he was right. I am happy with my height though.

Most people stop growing at 16-18.
Those instances you hear of people growing into their twenties and 25 are extremely rare.
Also whoever said height is random is an idiot. It has a genetic linkage of over 90%. Meaning if your dad is 5'7 there is little to no chance of you ever touching 6'.

I was like. 5'7 early years of highschool. Then I went on vacation when I was 17 ( slept a lot ) and grew to like 6'2 in a 6 month span. After that I grew like 1 inch. I'm 20 now btw. So it really depends.you can do your growing slowly until 21 or just hit your peak like I did at a earlier age.

Stopped @ 5'6" when I was 15.

This thread is really old but I want to add my 2 cents. I joined the marines in 07 at 68 inches, weighing 137lbs. 5 years later in 2012 I'm 70 inches (5'10) and 170 lbs. don't know where the growth occurred but in my final physical a little over a year ago they said I was 5'9. So there is always hope. Mom is 5'5 and dad is 6'0

Sorry for the old bump, but i'm 20 at 5'9''. My parents are both 5'5'' and my wingspan is 6' 2'' do i just have an abnormal wingspan or is there a good chance of gaining a few more inches? My fathers side is around 5'8'' and my mothers side is around 6'2'' +.

Well not that rare. I mean my cousin's parents are 6'1(Dad) and 5'7(Mom) and the kids about 6'4-6'5. And hes only 17

I'm 14 and I'm 6'2 and my dad is 5'7 I have been told by 18 I am gonna be 6'9 I hope so my dad's side of the family is tall and he is Guatemalan and I'm Mexican and Guatemalan so my mom is Mexican and she is 5'2 or 5'3 so Yeah
