I think Bruce Lee's appearance of muscle is mostly due to his low body fat. It's mainly an illusion. Having some, even very little, muscle with body fat that low will make the muscles appear larger (wider) than they actually are. Just shoot for very low body fat and do some chin ups/pull downs for the lats.
Hmm, thanks, maybe you're right. I'll keep that idea in mind. But still, they really looked unbelievably wide (the lats).

most karate experts and pro boxers have huge lats because lats are one of the primary punching muscles. bruce lee does have huge lats as well as low body fat, he was in incredible shape in his prime and the only way u will get his lats is if u work very hard and eat well for several years.
bruce lee was also a genetic freak i bet.
Bent over barbell rows, seated cable rows, chin ups, lat pull downs, and the other thing is an ancient chinese secret, sorry.

A little known fact is that Lee mixed in heavy/agility bag work in on the non-lifting days. Most people think they can just run and lift to get a body like Lee. You can't. If you want the Lee-physique, you need to all 3. Do his lifting program M/W/F, do cardio every day (the more cardio the better, since it rarely consitutes overtraining), and do bag work on Tu/Thu.
Boxers tend to do similar routines, but they didn't lift as much as Lee did, nor probably jog as much. Dedication my friend.
Supplement your lifting routine with punching and lots of it.
Punch the heavy bag.
Punch the air.
Punch with very very light dumbells (2-5 lbs)
Punch the speed bag.
Punch your friends or siblings.
But remember not to fully extend your arm at full speed when shadow boxing or with weights in your hand as this can easily cause an injury.
This combined with a solid back routine and low body fat should get you closer to the lats you want.
Bruce Lee was small... Plain and simple... What was he about a buck forty? Skinny little mofo.

Lee was 5'7" and depending on the time, between 120-140 from what I've read.
Yeah, anyway you look at it, he was a small guy.
