I love loling at football workouts
It's a PR Bell, duh!
Jesus Christ. Talk about someone having the right idea and then completely missing the main centralized point. It's like someone explained all of these concepts behind speed work, what the chains do, board work, and about a dozen other methods to the strength coach and he took all of those things but had to NSCA the $hit out of them to make them bad on purpose.
wtf did that guy clean like 350?
wtf did that guy clean like 350?
yeah, that guy is tyler shatley
strong bouncing on a amazing whole 225lbs bench at the end.
nice weighted vest bench-hip-thrusters to boards
WVU just scored another touchdown.
brb having literally all the equipment you could ever need/want to create a team of absolute monsters...
and having them do quarter squats with 205+chains.
sound legit.
WVU just scored another touchdown.
WV will prolly never play them again.
Atleast our guys high squat more weight...

I get depressed seeing such talent and potential doing such stupid stuff because of dumb coaches.

strong ignorance in this thread...

Having seen a ton of these vids because they're hilarious lol, you can spot a few good lifters from time to time. Obvious giveaway is that he's wearing weightlifting shoes instead of Nike Airs like the rest of the vids.

LMAO...
and WVU just scored again
Strong 2-board full body bench to half squat ratio.
It's often been said that blowing a whistle at random intervals is the best coaching cue for learning the power clean.

sound legit.
I agree that they should be squatting deeper, but there aren't a ton of lifts that a player can get really good at and have them translate to the field. Sure if a player can squat a lot or clean a lot then they're probably fast and explosive, but it doesn't mean they're any good at football. Those lifts absolutely help the player, but I also think that's why you'll see them do all of the lifts explosively without perfect form.

true, but I imagine a D-line of 500-to-depth squatters would come in handy against an opposing line of 500-knee-bend squatters in terms of brute strength

Yea, quality videos on there. Check out ANY of the University of MD stuff. It's inspirational.
Yea, quality videos on there. Check out ANY of the University of MD stuff. It's inspirational.
Haha well from what I've seen in these videos.... while 99% of personal trainers are terrible, about 90% of strength coaches are also terrible
But I have talked to MD's new football strength coach and he seems like a really bright guy.
He's all about the whole FMS like you, too
A beautiful world, where 300-Lb benches and 200-Lb half squats are the norm.
Someone should teach these kids to bounce their squats, so that they can add hit 300 there as well. Although they'd probably need ass armor to do so safely.
that was some of the worst squatting Ive ever seen.
Clemson actually has a reputation of being the worst S&C department in the country, there have been articles written on it.
Compared to every other BCS conference team they gain the least weight and strength over their 4 year career. The writer said its because they do westside instead of teh Hatch System
But every single player has a singshot

this.
Is it that easy to get a strength and conditioning position for a university? FFS.
Apparently Clemson's strength coach is paid 250k baseline salary. A trained monkey could have them do what they are doing.
