you workout at home?
what equipment do you have at home? barbell? how much weights?
Bench, 2 barbells, 300lbs of weight
EDIT: Buying a squat rack in a couple of months, just don't have one now.
deadlifts. hack squats. sumo deadlift.
Not the same, but will work for now.
do what i do clean the bar to your shoulders and do front squats
You can use bodyweight and sprint. Hell, even hold a plate behind your neck and squat with that. It's better than nothing. Get more comfortable with the action of squatting.
You could do sumo-deadlifts.
you can start off without a squat bar
Hack Squats

i find they work as well as normal front squats but it feels manly as f**k when you're doing them holding like 250lbs in your arms
Try do this, it's something they gave us at rugby for the guys who were going away on holidays and wouldn't have a gym or the guys who don't have a gym ever, just bodyweight exercises, not gonna give you serious gains, but will definitely get you some good endurance and explosive power:
4X20 prisoner squats
4X20 lunges ( 10 each leg)
4X20 jump squats (be sure to bring your legs as high as possible on the jump, and when you go back down go right into the next reps squat portion. Keep a flow)
4X20 bicycle lunges (jumping lunges, as you explode up, switch your legs and then land)
Again not gonna be brilliant for strength, but you'll definitely devlope your legs. So when you eventually get the appropriate stuff for squatting you will at least have a base.
You can still squat without a squat rack, you just obviously cant go really heavy.

clean to front squat. or clean and press to squat cept obv if you can clean much you wont have much weight to work with
nobody said front squat?!
just make sure you read up/ watch videos on form or else ssuffer a week of ****ed traps like i did
Zercher Squats? Barbell Hack Squats? Sumo Deadlifts? Piper Squats?
At the gym, when the squat rack is being used, I usually stack the barbell on the bench rack, sit down, grab the bar, and stand up. The bench is low so I can at least "box" squat for a few sets. It'll be a bit hard to get the weight up, since you're starting from the negative portion, but it's better than no rack at all.

I second that. I didn't lift at all during wrestling season, but my legs grew a ton from sprints at practice. Give it a try, that or running hills
Hack squat machine is kinda hard on the knees... Don't know about free weights.
