Hi guys,
I have no cooking experience at all and I'm looking to prepare my own meals... I was wondering what kind of chicken in what kind of portions people buy? And what's the quickest and easiest way to make them? Step by step? Thanks.

I boil mine personally, boil water and throw in the raw chicken breasts, after 10 minutes or so I cut one in half and see if it's white all the way through, viola, fat-free throughly cooked chicken.

quickest way:
1 buy frozen chicken breast in bulk. either thaw in microwave first or thaw overnight in fridge.
2 boiling them would be quickest but less tastefull.
3 skip 2 and heat frying pan and spray with zero cal cooking spray or olive oil.
4 sprinkle with favorite seasoning... all season, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, cajun seasoning, etc
5 once pan is hot (medium heat) put chicken in pan and cook about 5 min on each size. may vary depending on size of breast. till it is white and no pink in middle.
6 serve with rice, pasta, or whatever you want. you could make into sandwiches if you desire.
I can give you much better recipes but that is the quickest way.
if you are boiling rice you can throw in the thawed breast (medium size) when you are about 5-7 minutes from you rice being done (needs some amount of water in rice to cook chicken properly). also adding terriaki sauce or soy or hot sauce adds flavor. you can add lots of seasoning to the boil or add onions mushrooms, peppers etc in the mix.
Throw frozen or thawed chicken breast in oven for 30 minutes or so.
If frozen, wet breasts with water for better spice sticking. Throw some red peppers on top of and around the breasts = mmmm
I never could get a taste for boiled chicken.

me neither. but they only way i can eat it boiled is if i throw it in my cooking rice. but only the small frozen breasts. when done i chop em up into the rice. so if you add enough seasoning and onions it isnt bad. i also throw in a handful of peanuts for a kick. and chipolte sauce
If you boil it and pull the breast apart in a bowl with a fork until its almost like shreds, you can add some bbq and make a shredded bbq chicken sandwich on wheat bread/bun, tastes delicious.
Thanks for the tips guys?

I would say buy a foreman grill, (got mine for like 30 bucks) it's great for people that don't know how to cook. Just make sure your breasts are thawed out, add seasoning, and throw them on the grill and a light will come on when they're finished.
I put 3 or 4 frozen chicken breast in a crockpot with some water just to barely cover the chicken. Throw some spices on it and let it cook for a couple hours or untill down. Then refrigerate the rest and eat them throughout the week.
Or sometimes i just ask my mom too!
Just some of the advantages of living at home!

Slow cooker is a great way to cook meats. If you have calories to spare, empy a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of water in the slow cooker to cook the meat.
I love baked chicken the best. I think it has the most flavor. Boiled chicken is water too bland.
use the foreman. fast and easy.

Some chicken didn't give its life so you could render its flesh void of all pleasurable culinary value.
Foreman is probably quickest and easiest, but baking or pan-frying in some evoo usually comes out the tastiest.
What I have been doing with my chicken is thawing a bunch of breasts out overnight in the fridge and then cutting them up into smaller pieces. Then I use a little olive oil and get the chicken covered and let the oil oil soak into the chicken first before heating it up. You do not want to heat the oil too high before it is absorbed into the chicken or you will lose the good properties of the healthy fats. Also you can use a small amount of marinade in the stir fry or use other favorite spices.
Also I have been putting veggies such as brocoli, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, red peppers, garlic, etc. in the pan as well and making a great stir fry out of that. If you are trying to do it on less time then make a huge amount of food all at one time that will last you a few days. :)
I use a foreman grill, i just put some evoo on the chicken first, just to make sure it doesnt stick.
hey guys, how do i make bbq chicken on a pan? i just got the bbq sauce and a chicken breast, which i cut into small pieces. the question is - do i put some olive oil on a pan along with bbq sauce or should i put bbq sauce like 5 minutes before the chicken is done? thanks

I would cook the chicken first, then add the BBQ sauce on the chicken. If you mix the BBQ sauce in with the olive oil it will be overpowered.
