can anyone direct me to a good site/ program on boxing for cardio.. i've heard there are some good programs, and some of my friends say they'll never use another treadmill/ bike.

I think the problem with boxing and related sports is that it's considered a "stop and go" sport. Meaning, you aren't keeping your heart rate elevated during the duration of the time you are trying to use it as cardio.
It's better than nothing, but the treadmill is still preferred.

close second is jump rope. jump rope is awsome, i gotta tell you that you can lose weight fast. i wake up run 2-3 miles, later that day i jump rope and hit the bag. sometimes i spar with my bros. boxing is awsome if your sparing with someone. i lost some weight with that. problem is that i tend to "eat bad" so i mostlikeyly would of lost alot more weight. anywho boxing roxs.
