Did you know the World Masters Show was going to be a huge flop? Did people listen to you? If they did how did you get them to? because i tried to tell this section and only a few believed me
totally serious about you thinking it was going to be a flop

Amazing stuff mate
I train brunswick 5 days a week and easily the best gym I've ever trained at
I will come say g'day next time
-
Very cool having you posting here Tony.
-
Tony did you know that you are the man??
Every year I hear how much of a great success your show is. I wish more would go after Arnold. In every video I saw you on, or the things that you posted on rx or md, I always appreciated your input. I hope australian becomes the biggest grand prix along with Arnold Europe. I know it is a long flight but I wish every competitor from Arnold would go on and do Australian Pro. Keep it up man. I as a fan appreciate your hardwork. Get it up to 50 and post some pictures also please.

To be honest, I didn't give it much thought. Too busy concentrating on what I do to worry about anyone else. I guess they tried their best to make it work and that is all you can do sometimes.

Glad I asked that question. Good read. With great sacrifice comes great reward.

Welcome Tony!
You should make a TonyDoherty thread for all your stuff once you have enough posts.
The pros always said that they get treated well when in Australia for your show and they would like to compete there more if it wasn't so far.
What do you do for them differently than other promoters?
-
Awesome to hear about your trials and tribulations in life, you're a true inspiration.

We pick them up at the airport, drive them immediately to my gym where we have mountains of clean food for them to eat, after traveling and having Oz customs take their foods away.
We accommodate them in apartments where they each have a full kitchen, to do their prep right.
I pay almost most everyone's accommodation, especially the new guys that can afford it least.
I have drivers available for them around the clock, gyms that never close, lots of free stuff.
Hold the show in one of the best venues in the world.
Provide the best fans in the world that buy tons of their merchandise.
Get them safely back to the airport.
That's about the most of it. Not rocket science, just treating others how you would like to be treated.

Here to help bump to 50. :)

Just make sure you post and wait for someone else to post after. If you post back to back in a row. It will not count as a total. At some point your post count will drop back down.
Ok, your turn. :)

Great. Just basic stuff. Don't know why they don't get it at other contests too, although they have said that at the Arnold they also get treated well.
Yes I think Phil can just keep on winning. He has improved every year so far and will improve again this year.
The only current guy he has to worry about is Kai, on his best day he could beat anyone.
That's a smart man right here.
Ron is by far the greatest of all time. I have interviewed him about 20 times and had him here about 8 times. He has never ceased to amaze me. I think in 2003, he raised the bar so high, it was like the sport jumped forward 10 years overnight. He was always fun to interview and had some great stories to tell. I have got some great shots which I will post when I can.
In 2003 Ronnie pushed forward the sport more than 10 years, in 2013 Phil, Kai, Vic, Wolf or whoever might compete then won't come close to 2003-2005 Ronnie. In 2003 you could have said that in 10 years Ronnie will be surpassed because it seemed a long period and the industry was evolving fast but now looking back you can see how high Coleman's stake is and how hard is for someone to dethrone it.
