DHEA effects... how long?
Hey all. Long time no see. Have had my head in the clouds. Not good.
Anyway, I was just curious to hear from some of you that have taken DHEA... how long did it take to notice any type of effect, whether positive or negative? Also, what dosage were you taking?
caution to wrenchgirl and request for more info
If you reacted badly to DHEA, my opinion is to stay away from Jungle Warfare and any other prohormones that are usually marketed to men.
DHEA is probably the mildest prohormone out there, since it's a substance that occurs naturally in the female body in fairly large quantities. It converts to both estrogen and testosterone. The ratios of conversion are unique to the individual, so the effects are not entirely predictable.
Supp's like Jungle Warfare are more strongly androgenic. If you noticed anger, mood swings etc with DHEA you should probably avoid Jungle Warfare IMHO.
Everyone reacts differently to supplements. Also, you should introduce things one at a time, so you know how you react to each thing.
IMPORTANT:
How long have you been lifting? (I'm going to assume at least two years?)Diet? Goals? Are you planning to compete? More info of this nature would be very helpful.
What other supp's are you taking i.e. vitamins, creatine etc.?
If you are considering any type of hormonal supplement, you need to do a LOT of research. Search for Patrick Arnold's posts, which are helpful.
Also be careful of other **** supp's. Venom Hyperdrive came back spiked with something that shouldn't be in there i.e. a prescription weightloss drug. There's a great big long thread about Venom Hyperdrive here:

If you want to take the risk on yourself of taking the Venom Hyperdrive [not a good idea], you should at least do enough research to know what's in it.
Please be careful and do your research.
HORRIBLE!!!
I know everyone reacts differently to different supplements and such, personally I hated DHEA (and so did my husband).
This stuff threw my hormones too far out of whack, I was angry all the time and much more aggressive than usual. I switched over to Estrodex as directed by my trainer. I'm just finishing my first bottle and everything seems ok. I just picked up a bottle of Jungle Warfare by **** and am about to order a bunch of their other products to stack with it so we'll see how it goes. I was told at the Vitamin Shoppe that the Hyperdrive is being recalled for an ingredient not legal in the US so I'm stocking up before it becomes unavailable, I've heard nothing but good stuff about it.
Stay away from DHEA! Just my personal feelings.
