Working Through Biceps Tendonitis
Okay so about a week and a half ago I started getting a dull aching pain in the front/top of my shoulder. I stopped lifting and went to the doctor and had it diagnosed as "biceps tendinitis". The doctor prescribed me rest, an NSAID, and icing. I took a week and a half off, and during this week and a half was icing and resting it. Last night I went to the gym and did my first chest routine since the injury. On bench press I went very light, sticking to only what I usually use to warm up. I didn't really feel any pain, though my shoulder felt slightly strange. I'm not experiencing any pain on a day-to-day basis, so my real question is can I jump right back into lifting heavy/at the intensity I was before I got hurt? I'm very tentative to start training at my usual intensity for fear that the pain/injury will resurface. Any help/advice would be very appreciated!
