So I wasn't planning on doing a meet for some time, I just heard about this - http://www.southernpowerlifting.com/contest.php?id=253 (SPF Raw Pro/Am). Considering 24hr weigh-ins + monolift + knee wraps, I'm tempted to do it just for fun.
I was wondering for the fam members that bench with a arch (which I'm assuming is almost everyone) do you do CGBP with an arch as well?
I do cgbp with an arch because my shoulders would die if I didn't. I just started doing floor presses and that's the only "flat" bench variant where I don't use an arch. I'm not so sure it matters for floor pressing? Correct me if I'm wrong.

got my Titan THP wrist wraps today. Tried 'em out and I just about cut off circulation in my wrists lol Finally got it down to a wrap that won't kill me and coupled with some light weight hammer curls elbow pain is non-existent.

oh yeah I do that no matter what I'm doing, but I don't have a full arch.
Anyone in Ohio need some dumbbells?

From "3 Extremes", right? Great flick. I never liked the crunching noise when they'd eat the feti. (sp?)
I just hit 385x5 so my shi**y dead can suck it. I think I'm on my road to 450 at my next meet.
But how far you can throw the 56?

Heavy weight for distance?
Heavy weight for distance?
I'm pretty terrible at almost every highland games event except the hammer throw. But I never practice any of them.
I need to practice, too.

I'm just lazy and I'm way better at benching and squatting. If only I could wear my kilt to meets and compete in it.
[edit] Retarded sleepy typo

I've thought about it...
I wanna pound some ass at this year's games. I want to work towards a 40+ open stone, 32 hwfd, 60' lwfd, 105' light hammer, 14' weight over bar and TURN A FREAKIN CABER
I've thought about it...
Haven't we all? I'm still working on the throw the wfd, don't let it throw you concept.

I'll probably do it if it's at SuperTraining Gym, but otherwise, probably not (they haven't announced location yet). I would be at such a loss for how to pick an opener with all those things added in. In other somewhat related news, it seems all the soreness from the meet is almost gone, back to the gym today, aw yeah.

I think it'd be fun, but it's pretty close to my one geared meet of the year...or, maybe it'd be a good stepping stone.
I just found out USAPL memberships all expire on the new year. The ****?!
same as bdfpa over here, doesnt matter when you register, they all expire on january 1st

It was gross and a little confusing because they kept switching between dialects

I'm pretty lost when it comes to finding competitions in the UK though, I dont understand what regional qualifiers and what championships are and which ones I'm allowed to compete in, haha.
