Obama can now get his hate machine rolling on 1 candidate.
Ugh.. Well, glad that Santorum nut is done. But cmon, how can people honestly vote for Obama again? Truly..

He's pretty much already started.
Strong flaming on Obama though seeing as the GOP nominees have basically spent the last 6 months collectively slagging off Obama at every opportunity.
About damn time.
April did not look good for him, but may did. why now ?
He dropped out because he knows he will lose PA, and that would be cripplingly embarrassing for his political future.
Now its a 2 man race between Paul and Romney!
trollface.flv
Reps all around
No one expected Santorum to win. It was all done to remind Romney that he is not the GOP prodigal son and that he needs to know his place.
So you'll all be voting for Ron Paul, right? It's business as usual with Obama or Romney. More wars, more spending.
Paul won't get elected, but the the least you can salvage from this charade called "elections" is to send a strong message that a percentage of Americans are awake and willing to fight back.
Vote Paul.
Wasnt he getting notes under his office door to "drop out or else" and "resistance is futile"?
GOP establishment doesnt f*ck around.

live stream of the conference he should be out momentarily.
it's nice to see RP's strategy bearing fruit.
next is Newt and then it's a 2 man race
Santorum "It was about raising issues"
Seems to be the default line for losers
Can someone explain to me what exactly will happen now to all the delegates that Santorum has amassed thus far?
Can someone explain to me what exactly will happen now to all the delegates that Santorum has amassed thus far?
Ron Paul will most likely get them.

they automatically go to Ron Paul. if he doesn't, it's a conspiracy

How so? Sounds pretty farfetched to me lol, how exactly can Paul win these delegates?

Im pretty sure when delegates are freed, they are able to vote whom they want at the convention. This is exactly what Paul is relying on to take the nomination.

I saw a very appropriate pic in the other thread:

LOLd hard IRL.
But ya, I believe they are now free to vote for whomever they please. And contrary to the misc's beliefs, that most likely will not be RP.

My mind is full of fuk :D
But seriously, where do the delegates go? Do they just become unbound?
I'm disappointed to have heard that he dropped out. But it's understandable since his daughter is currently in the hospital and I'm sure he wants to focus and spend all his time with her. It's clear Romney will be the nominee at this point. I guess everyone should just drop out and end this spectacle.
Obama can now get his hate machine rolling on 1 candidate.
The Grand Old Tea Party has had its hate machine going at WOT ever since the primary season started. Now the REAL fun begins! :)
Romney will take nomination and hopefully the presidency.
People who would vote Obama: Do you even America? Have you been here the last 4 years? As I said earlier, Obama can't run on his failed record so he will run on class/race warfare...

I think so, they are just floating delegates now I believe.

So the question is, whether this is good or bad news for Paul.
Cons:
- The likelyhood of a brokered convention is pretty much eliminated now. It's 1144 delegates or bust. Looks almost inevitable that Romney will win now.
- Santorum might endorse Romney, which will move some of his voters to Romney.
Pros:
- Some of the attention towards Santorum will undoubtedly have to shift over to Paul, with only 3 candidates left.
- The anti-Romney voters will not have many other choices than Paul. The Grinch is flat out broke, and seems to be almost non factor now. Paul at least has the grassroots backing.
- Paul might actually win a state like Texas or California legitimately (j/k rigged). He was close in VA where only him and Mitt was on the ballot, and he didn't even campaign/advertise there much at all.
Interdasting...
Primary seasons usually start with several candidates. Ordinarily, candidates drop out of the race after poor showings as the season wears on. So what happens when a candidate drops out after having won some delegates? This is actually a little murky. Ostensibly, the delegates go to the national convention uncommitted, like superdelegates. There, they should be allowed to vote however they choose.
These delegates may also be folded into another candidate's delegates. If a candidate drops out of the race, he or she may endorse a rival candidate in the same party. Once this happens, the delegates formerly belonging to the candidate may pledge to the endorsed one
from http://people.howstuffworks.com/primary2.htm. So newt may get a boost if he gets endorsed, I think the last guy frothy would endorse is RP.

So if frothy endorses someone they get his delegates?
Intredasting.
