Oil
Here are a few facts, misc.
Since forming, the EU has only gotten bigger and more centralised. Never reversed.
No real Eurosceptic party has ever won an election.
UK, the most Eurosceptic country, has never voted for a eurosceptic party.
The Euro since founding has moved from being worth about 90 US cents to about 1.30 dollars.
The EU has the largest net exports in the world.
The EU has the largest economy in the world.
The EU has the largest manufacturing in the world.
The EU has a lower debt to GDP ratio to its nearest competitor, the USA.
The EU still has room to grow. Many European countries have not joined, but will have no choice to in a world of bigger players.
Vladimir Putin said that Russia's future was in the euro. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/currency/8163347/Putin-Russia-will-join-the-euro-one-day.html
If Russia joins the EU, hegemony status achieved.

Yeah... talk down... whatever. At the end of the day they still didn't follow you into Afghanistan/Iraq :D
And why would they... too busy creating a European Union which has a larger economy than USA.

see below
Nigeria is classified as a mixed economy emerging market, and has already reached middle income status according to the Worldbank, with its abundant supply of natural resources, well-developed financial, legal, communications, transport sectors and stock exchange (the Nigerian Stock Exchange), which is the second largest in Africa. Nigeria is the United States' largest trading partner in sub-Saharan Africa and supplies a fifth of its oil (11% of oil imports). It has the seventh-largest trade surplus with the U.S. of any country worldwide. Nigeria is currently the 50th-largest export market for U.S. goods and the 14th-largest exporter of goods to the U.S. The United States is the country's largest foreign investor. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected economic growth of 9% in 2008 and 8.3% in 2009. The IMF further projects a 8% growth in the Nigerian economy in 2011.
February 2011: According to Citigroup, Nigeria will get the highest average GDP growth in the world between 2010–2050. Nigeria is one of two countries from Africa among 11 Global Growth Generators countries

I don't think britain should be involved unless they realize they are not an empire anymore and realize that the future lies in an union
They are an obstacle in the formation of the EU.
This. We are not a strong country. There is a difference between being blindly patriotic, and being proud of where you come from. We owe a lot to the peoples of Europe and they owe a lot to us. We are bonded to them. We are not an economic super power. We have central London. That's it. We need to join the EU and help strengthen it...
HOWEVER
Some places in the EU are some of the most corrupt chitholes on the planet (srs) France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece. Have deep seated corruption, which I would not be happy to start paying into. Either we work together for strength or we don't join at all. But to not join properly due to reasons of patriotism is stupid.
USA would never give up autonomy to become part of a large union of countries.
But if we did, Canada merging with the U.S. would be the most logical. Mexico would just bring us down.
lol @ dat canadian guy dissing Europe.
brb most important continent of entire human history
brb almost all canadians/americans of European heritage
Western Europe are great countries to currently live in. Southern not so much lol.
but nevertheless, **** is going real with the eurocrisis.
Britain pretends they're not european and russia would never join.
North American union>>>>>European union.
uk would rather join us than the EU.

The best thing about the EU is how it will bring northern discipline to these southern countries. srs. The creaters of the EU have a blank canvas which they can use to make a government system free of corruption.
UK being a northern European country needs to contribute to this
Britain pretends they're not european and russia would never join.

Britain are already in the EU and a eurosceptic party has never won a seat in the house of commons. I already posted link where Putin said Russia would join EU
You really think every nation in the EU is going to give up sovereignty to be served by some federal government? Strong delusions. Good luck in your appeasing 29 different nations interests goals of 2013 and beyond

It's too late to stop it.
It's not too late to accept it, and realise that European dominance has once again arrived, after its 60 year break.
I'd say let the new EU consist of Western Europe only. UK, FRA, GER, BENELUX, Scandanavia and such. Spain, Greece, Portugal, Italy -> not interested

Nah, that wouldn't be global superpower. We want global superpower status.
Dw, we can enforce northern discipline on other countries and be prosperous

The countries I listed will only hold us back. Why not acquire wealth and glory with the ones I picked. Not a big fan of babysitting poorly run countries.

Europe really needs to find a way of dealing with muslims, they contribute nothing to the economy and don't share the common european sentiment.
