Are you looking to be an offensive or defensive player ?

offensive
Does your school have a Freshman team? If you want to be on offense I would suggest Runningback or Wide Receiver. When I was a Frosh on our Varsity we had a RB who was 5'5" 143lbs and he was a senior.
bulk up a little more, train your speed hard, play widereceiver.
Corner, Safety

^ that
If you want to play offense you have to already be good at wide receiver (routes, good hands)
Good hands during backyard football doesn't count

having good hands during backyard football could defiantly help him become better at catching
i don't see how that "doesn't help" since it's helping him become better.
i Have a similar question as the OP
im 5 foot 5 145 pounds i have a vertical leap of 74-75 and my 100m is 12 secs about, im also considered to be one of the the most agile in my grade where do you think i would play.

left tackle maybe??
Offensive at your size, I would say small scat back which is a quick running back or a wide reciever preferably a slot reciever.

Most kids never drop passes during backyard football, then the game is completely different once they start playing for the school, and have trouble making any catches at all.
Considering your size, you'd be best suited for a skill position
WR, RB, Safety, CB, maybe even a scrambling QB
then again its not really your call what position you play, you'll have to talk to your coaches to figure out where you can best fit in to help the team.

Nice vertical ;)
Well, if anyone saw Night Train Lane play, it proved that size doesn't always matter. Your coaches will usually put you into a position when you get to summer training camp. Either way, you should be gaining weight.
Yeah, i'd say WR or RB maybe a safety for defensive.

This. Though you won't actually know till you put the pads on. I would say train hard and expect to be put at either reciever or corner.
With a vertical like that, play cornerback.
If not, receiver.
Cornerback is pretty difficult to play, depending on what type of pass defense you're playing, but you seem perfect for it.
Id say running back your already 5'5 by the time you are a Jr or Senior you could be 5'10-6' easily
if your vertical is around 74-75 I'd say screw football try out for the Olympic High Jump team.

Damn, seriously? I'm 5'10", and my growth plates are still wide open. You're telling me I could be 6'3"? Damn, I'd be a beast at safety and WR!! Lol

sorry i meant Cm not inches.
the only hope you have of ever playing on varsity if you dont grow is to play RB. You say its hard for people to tackle you, which is needed for the position.
it doesnt really matter what you say because coaches will probably pick a position for you. I dont know about your coaches but at my school our freshman quarterback passed for around 200 yards a game two years ago on the jv team.
He got moved to middle linebacker the first day of varsity tryouts before saying two words.
