Are Amino Acid Tablets any good ?

Yesterday for Valentines day i went shopping with a friend and i came across this pharmacy that has this supplement called Body tone. It was pretty cheap ( 0.17 cents per tablet ) so i decided to check the back for its nutritional values.

It had 1000 mg of Hydrolyzed Casein

and 19 different amino acids which i think were :

Lysine (1) 162mg
Arginine (2) 29mg
Tyrosine (2) 38mg
Tryptophan (1) 30mg
Phenylalanine (1) 34mg
Valine (1) (3) 62mg
Histidine (2) 21mg
Alanine 56mg
Serine 80mg
Cystine 21mg
Methionine (1) 23mg
Threonine (1) 77mg
Leucine (1) (3) 124mg
Isoleucine (1) (3) 64mg
Glutamic Acid 198mg
Glycine 22mg
Proline 64mg
Aspartic Acid 122mg

( similar to KAL amino acid Complex 1000 )

So i was wondering , would this supplement do me any good ? Or is it just waste of money ?

Not much different than a pinch of protein powder would - it's basically compressed protein powder. Not exactly a fiscally sound decision.

H i'm also know this tablet. i think its a good tablet. and its worked for me also. now its sri lankan Rs. 23.

If you have a good diet I can't think of any reason why this would be worth the money.
