Just curious. I googled it and I saw some ppv stuff. Is it ever televised or streamed over the internet - not pay-per-view? I think I'd like to watch.

Is this a joke?
Bodybuilding.com streamed it last year and you could replay it for a few days afterwards, it was awesome, bodybuilding.com is a huge olympia sponsor
It is not on Pay per view. It is live on Webcast . You can access it through our website at www.mrolympia.com and there is a link Webcast Hardbody Entertainment you go to, to watch it.

haha, no joke. I just got seriously into lifting this year. So haven't been around this site since last year or anything.
Thanks guys.
Telvised means broadcasted via television.
It's not televised.
It will definately be broadcast over this site through a feed.
Usually Chic or some other highlighted name creates a thread with the link as the event approaches.
its on the spice channel
Bodybuilding has become an underground sport, primarly due to the drug use, after steroids started getting demonized in other sports. I doubt you'll ever see any BB event televised again.
i can't believe it's not on pay per view anymore and hasn't been since the 2005 show I believe. I refuse to watch it on my computer when I have two very very large tv's in my house.

Does one of your TVs have a HDMI input port? I have a dual monitor video card for my computer with one DVI port and one HDMI port. Thus, my 50" plasma is now my second monitor.

this
i would say, "one day", but in reality BBing used to be on FSN and ESPN and no longer is, so i doubt it'll progress in a day and age where AAS are public enemy number one
I am still hoping to make it to Vegas and watch it in person this year, but if not I will be watching on the computer for the first time as well...Can anyone elaborate on how detailed the coverage is, when watching on the computer? Are there cameras back stage, any interviews, prejudging coverage, etc?
its on the spice channel
this
You can watch it here @ bodybuilding.com and several other sites FREE
No, instead they like broadcasting real paperview sports like curling.

lmao
All the sponsors repeatability say they are striving to push the sport of bodybuilding, why dont all the financial heads of those sponsors, BB.com, MD, Gaspari, Flex, MM, ect ect pool an amount together and get this 1 show on ppv.
ESPN has focused on basketball, football, baseball, for the past 5 years, and its not going to change anytime soon.
You guys are all forgetting the real reason its not televised.......
Because ESPN only wants to broadcast real sports............. like the world series of poker.

this makes me rrrraaaaaaaaageeeee
i have also seen darts and sumo wrestling on those channels. try and tell me bodybuilding has a smaller fanbase than those lol
it's the drug stigma.. no network wants to have that on their hands.. in a way i rather keep it like that due to the fact that more exposure could mean more negativity in the sport.
but then again, theres a place in my heart where I wanna be able to turn ESPN and watch the final pose down.. that would be sick...
But i guess you can't have it all :(
has bodybuilding.com showed the olympia live in HD before?
Its on comedy central
Its on comedy central
maybe WWE should be on that channel too
maybe WWE should be on that channel too
it should, dunno relevance tho?
it should, dunno relevance tho?
the relevance is... bodybuilding is a serious sport... yet you have very unserious and scripted 'entertainment' sport that is televised....
bodybuilding has potential to be sucessfully televised

Yeah its a serious sport i was referring to the ifbb judging...which often is a joke
WWE is televised because it brings in revenue for the network and ratings even though the content is a joke. BBing will not. Its already been as popular as it will ever get probably late arnie era and 80s. The O used to be on ESPN even in the 2000s.

yea true... but if someone invested the money it could become quite popular...
if there was a more of a grand prix style comp with points ala moto GP then it would gain quite a following i believe... just a matter of someone destroying the strangle hold the IFBB holds over all its athletes...
