how about just drink alot of water, and increase your sodium intake

Interesting. I know Gipsey bare knuckle fighters, used to soak their hands in a jar of pickle juice overnight, to strengthen their skin.

That would make more sense. I would of thought that the pickle juice would make you cramp. Due to high amounts of salt. Also considering bannanas are a great source of potassium, that would help your muscles stay hydrated, & stop them cramping.
when i wrestled i had to cut enormous amount of weight and a lot of it was water weight so i had severe cramps, and my coaches made me drink 4 ozs of pickle juice everday. supposedly its also a negative calorie drink because the digestion cause more calorie expense compared to the limited calories in the juice/pickle.
isnt it just vinegar and salt... i dont mind the taste but... not something I'd drink on a regular basis
