Ok i tore my bicep about 2 months ago but my dad kept telling me i didn't need surgery, i went to the orthopedics office and they said i need "late surgery" but is it possible for them to do surgery on a 2 month old tear and if so how much does the surgery cost?
A surgery at this point in the game will likely remove scar tissue that could be causing you problems. Although I do not know how much this would cost repair surgeries range anywhere from $1000 to $25000. I would believe yours would be on the lower end and should be covered by insurance, if you have it. I'm sure you could contact a surgeon and get an estimate.

oh yeah you can for sure do surgery for it. If the tedon is completely torn they will need to re-attach it. You usually want to do that as soon as possible but I have worked with a football player who played an entire season before he had the surgery, all and all he waited about 3 months.
This sugery isn't THAT expensive, depends on who does it, what facility does it and where you live. How much you will pay depends on your insurance, assuming you have insurance. Anyway it can range from $1,800 to $5,000 bucks for the surgery.

Depends on how severe the tear was. I suffered a distal bicep tear (tearing from the radius bone and not the shoulder). I could see that the end of my bicep had moved up my arm by an inch or more when I injured it. I took one look at it and KNEW I was going to need surgery. Surgery was 4 days later. (And they say the quicker the better). Surgery cost around $25,000 before insurance. Recovery is 6-9 months (but more like a year in many cases...including mine).
I tore mine on April 12 at the forearm (distal) my surgery out the door with Surgeon, outpatient hospital and anesthesia was about $54,000. My insurance pays 85%, so that's a plus. The quicker the better is right on a full tear, as the tendon can retract up the arm and they might not be able to restretch it properly. I have 11 more weeks of physical therapy to go!! WooHoo!
