I'm currently at a gym, like most, with only one Squat Rack. Does anyone here know of a gym in Philly that caters a little more to the powerlifting population? Search engines haven't been all that much help.

Isn't Ironsport in Philadelphia? I'm sure HHF mentioned that one.

Its in a sububrb.
Its a great gym, I visited it once.
I actually lived 15 min away from it for a few months but never went, then a year later I just went to visit and I was like **** my life I should have been going here
Its in glenolden which is near norwood ect. Fairly close to the airport.
Best gym anywhere near that city
Thanks guys. It's a little far from me but looks like a great gym.
For any lurkers who may live in the area, here's the site: http://www.ironsport.com/

Not many gyms in the Philly that cater to powerlifters, I've been look for one for 3 years now. I found a power Team in Jersey but then they go to a guys basement and train one day and then at a commerical gym for 2 days and then travel to Maryland on the weekend to squat with other great squatters.
I trained for almost 2 years at Allentown, Pa at Rychlak's gym.
The thing is if you got a partner then that is good but if you train in equipment then you need a team, it is tough and Philly/suburbs sucks for power gyms.
you just got to travel if you want to lift heavy.
there's a place in exton as well. If it's still open.
Temple has a powerlifting club, so they probably have equipment. Unsure on if you could get a membership or access to the equipment though.

Where in Maryland do these guys go?
I haven't seen many good gyms in the area. BTw I am about 34 miles from Ironsport which is roughly a 45 minute drive.
Iron Sport would be my recommendation; one of the best gyms that I have been to.
If you are looking for powerlifters you might also want to check out Nazareth Barbell (Mike Miller) but it would be a bit of a ride from Philly I believe.

I think Nazareth Barbell folded up, not sure but it would be best to try to call the place if you can find a number.
