1. Take a measuring tape
2. *tricky alert* u n r a v e l it.
3. flex like a hardboy
4. Measure around peak
5. and Voila, you have 9 inchers.
make sure your tape is straight all the way around your arm, use a mirror if you have to. Some people don't notice that they are measuring diagnaly and it adds a good half inch to their arm

Like this, takes a little practice.
When people give their arm measurements, do you measure during (or right after) your workout, or do you do it on a rest day? It seems like it could make a difference (up to 1/2" or so for me anyway) so I was just curious.
best way is to get a mate to measure while you flex. if you got no mates around, use a mirror and measure straight round the peak. to get a pic put your camera on timed mode, if you got no time mode use a guess and take pics, one at least has to come out fine.

Depends on the results you're looking for. Personally, I measured mine cold resting (by my side), cold flexed, post-bicep workout flexed and post-tricep workout flexed. It gives you a good range of sizes for your arm. Of course everyone is going to count their biggest size, which would be after a tricep workout.
Have you measured yet,Birdman ? Give up the measurements, man!
buy this myotap thing...it works awesome...its like a laso-measuring tape that cinches on your arm , leg, etc...I love it and its impossible to cheat.

actually that's incorrect
even though you were being a 9 inch smart ass
measure un-flexed- the logic is if you are measuring other muscles they wouldn't change as much as the arms when flexed. for example the calves. so to remain consistent and check growth over time measure un-flexed.
