I would say yes, rowing machines kill me.
I've done it in the past for a total cardio workout. Worked out well for me.
HIIT on a rowing machine works well. I have done it many times, i just usually run a longer interval 45-60 seconds because it just feels right to me. Great workout though! I highly recomend it.

I tried HIIT on the rowing machine and I easily reached 95% of my MHR! I usually never reach that high when I do HITT on a recumbent bike! And the weird thing is that I didn't feel wiped out so I added one more interval.

what resistance do you guys use for HIIT? high?
What the hell? I was trying this yesterday for the first time and didn't find any difficulty. I have the form right (I watched a tutorial on how to do it)...maybe I wasn't going fast enough.
How fast do you guys go on it and can you increase the resistance?
