Well, my work sponsored "Biggest Loser" comp starts tomorrow. It's time to get motivated and get shredded. I'm shooting for abs by the end of this thing. We'll see what happens.
I hit my Max Capacity workout tonight and then threw in 45 minutes on the bike. My legs are going to he shot tomorrow......Feels good!
Great progress yabby, keep it going mate
Distance biking is no joke my man, nice job!!!
I don't know what's gotten into me lately, but I've been starving. I ate like crazy this weekend, but stuck with only Keto friendly foods.
I picked up a nice 8 lb tender loin last night that I divided up as well as a 4 lb salmon fillet. Looks like I'm going to be eating well for the next couple weeks!
Never been brave enough to cook my own salmon man, hats off to t"ya!!!

I just do it with a little olive oil, lemon and Old Bay. Nice and easy.
Just got back from basketball. I've gotta say, Max Capacity is paying off!! I'm sure ill feel like I got hit by a cement truck tomorrow, but at least my cardio was on.
Someone said biking?

You'll be fine man, I read something yesterday about TM. Someone was of the opinion that lifters have an easier time than runners at these events (despite most of the tracks being a bit of a run).
I reckon put your hand up for it, good way to get ready for that 170lbs mate
+1 for post-event calisthenics

Haha! Yeah, I'm down for the calisthenics!
I'm planning on hitting my back workouts, HIIT and distance runs pretty hard for the next 10 weeks. I think the biggest mental challenge is the fact that its in OH in April. Normally we're talking 40-50 degrees which is going to make it nice and cold!!!! Besides finishing, my #1 goal is to complete the monkey bar portion without falling into the water.

I got a cousin who is in the same one man!!! good luck in Ohio, once living their I know they have two seasons
1.Cold
2.Bittercold+construction
I just got my first 3 mile run in to start prepping for April. It was a balmy 25 degrees with about 5" of snow on the track. All in all it was a decent run!
I'm feeling pretty good this morning, which means I'm not as sore as I expected. I ended up picking up some New Balance Minimus running shoes. Honestly, they're awesome! The one thing I wasn't sure about was the fact that they have zero cushion. At the end of the day, they allow you to run on your arch rather than your heel, and surprisingly I have zero soreness in my shins. My calves were burning afterwards, but that was about it. All in all, I'm happy with the choice.
It turns out that my neighbor (old workout partner) might train with me and join the Tough Mudder, which would be awesome! I'd love to spur some friendly competition and also be able to have someone to help push me harder during workouts.
Nice man, im gonna have to get me a pair of these running shoes also, i suffer some shin splints which puts me off running altogether tbh..

Make sure you do some research before you buy them and see if they're what is best for you. I did quite a bit before I made the decision. One of the other selling points was the fact that they're super lightweight and drain very easily when you're running in wet conditions.
Will do m8 appreciate the advice.
Yesterday was fun. Since I wasn't going to run two days in a row....at least for now, I decided to do Max Capacity Day 3 when I got home from work. Man, it sucked!! Squats, back lunges, jump squats and plank. After I was done, I entered the numbers from my first set and then went upstairs and hit the bike for about 14 miles. My legs are definitely burnt! I have b-ball tonight, so that should be another solid 2 hours of running. Tomorrow is definitely going to be a day off, which leaves me with Thursday and Friday for running.
My goal is to get my legs/heart/lungs used to distance runs, HIIT and quick recovery so I can smoke this Tough Mudder. Obviously I have to start doing some trail running before too long, but I want to get up to pace on the track before I jump into the trails.
At hoops last night there were a few big boys.....250 - 300 pounders. I realized something.....I'm not a big boy any more. Back in the day I used to be able to put a shoulder into someone under the hoop and pretty much move them wherever I wanted. Now I have to play with speed and finesse. Now I just need to get some speed and finesse....... ;)
I started P90X again on Sunday. I've gotta say, Plyo didn't kill me like it used to. I must be getting in shape. :)
I ordered some more supplements from the site yesterday. I'm going to take a crack at a thermogenic to see if it helps me out at all. I've hit a plateau and have been hovering between 179 and 185. Because of my training for the tough mudder in April, I've been reloading on weekends, so my actual scale weight hasn't been dropping. I guess I'll see what happens.

Haha! I'm going to need it.
Well, I started using the Thermo on Saturday. I've been eating dirty for the last week, including this weekend, so now that I'm back on Keto today we'll see how things work.
I can definitely feel warmer than usual, plus my face has been feeling pretty hot the last couple days. I've also noticed that my sinuses are dry, kind of like when you take sinus meds.
I'll be interested to see how P90X goes tonight. It'll be my first workout "under the influence".
Tough Mudder Ohio is in the bag boys!!!! I'm already prepping for Tough Mudder Pittsburgh in August.
Back to Keto tomorrow and my cut to 170!!!
