What Should My Heart Rate Be To Burn Max. Fat?
After doing HIIT on the eliptical machine, and a few minutes after my cool down, I measured my heart rate and it was 140.
Man was HIIT a workout! I burned 440 cals in 20 min. when it usually takes me an hour to do burn the same amount by doing moderate even-paced cardio on the same machine.
So yea, my question is: 1) what should my heart rate be to burn maximum fat? 2) During the 'hard' part of a HIIT workout, what should my heart rate be climbing up to? What does yours go up to?
I am 19 years old, 5'3 and 140 lbs by the way. Looking to lose 20 lbs. Thanks everyone.
