I lived off of it every day for 6 months and felt terrible the entire time...I'll never eat it again unless it's a matter of life or death.
Ramen noodles are amazing, i love them...too bad the sodium and fat is rediculous for soup, so yeah don't eat it everyday.

i 100% agree. when it was my first time at college without a meal plan i lived off them and no good came out of it. they are terrible, but if it is a last resort, make your own sauce and dont use the salty artificial flavoring.
i lived off ramen my first year of college... look at my profile (transformation). although really easy and super cheap... i think they're a sorry excuse for a decent meal.

if people can't take 15mins out of their life to boil some noodles or pre cook their noodles and make a meal then they'd be much better off because the crap in ramen is insane....its like twinkies, if the food can't go bad, don't eat it!!!

You didn't die? My buddy in college tried to do it but was rushed to the er for malnutrition after the 3rd month of it.

Then when I came back for the Spring semester I lost another 40 lbs by eating real food; I was undereating until I realized I was going to die if I didn't get help.

1 word sodium.. read it and weap
crap noodles as well
noodles = not that horrible for you
flavoring packet = ridiculously harmful to your body
Wow. Strong fear of Ramen noodles. Ramen noodles are far from the worst thing you can eat. They are a cheap and quick source of calories for a bulk.
But omg sodium??? The majority of the sodium is in the packet of flavoring. Don't eat the packet, and you will be fine.
Pack of Ramen + Tuna = Cheap Bulking meal FTW

when you bulk, you should aim for a clean bulk. ramen noodles are far from an acceptable source of calories
its fried noodles.
not sure on the nutritional facts, but if you don't care about sodium just use the seasoning packets over some whole wheat pasta, and that would defenetly be a better choice.

There are much worse sources of calories to use than Ramen noodles. What's so bad about them without the sauce? When I read the back of a packet of Ramen noodles, ignoring the sauce, I see a good source of fat, about half saturated, half unsaturated, quick carbs, 4g of fiber, and 10g of protein per pack. 400 calories in 3 oz of noodles. That is quick and easy for bulking. Yes, perhaps Ramen noodles are too processed for some, but eating Ramen noodles will hardly make you fat. I will continue to eat them. It is all a matter of perspective, but in my opinion, Ramen are a pretty good source of calories in the sense that they are cheap, quick, and easy. They really aren't as unhealthy as people say.

i totally agree with you about the fact that the noodles alone are not that bad (see my first post in this thread) but most individuals use the flavoring packet along with the noodles and that is horrible for you...high in sodium, high in saturated fat, high in monosodium glutamate
