Wouldn't a carb up knock you out of Ketosis anyways? Try this in the KETO forum not LOSING FAT for better answers.

alcohol would be processed before anything so it will knock you out of ketosis temporarily
a shot of rum is like 68 calories

yes it will knock you out of ketosis, and yes thats the point of a carb up day.
you can drink alcohol on a non carb up day, too

This. A carb up should knock your out of Ketosis any way. Also, there's a forum dedicated just for these types of questions, hit that up. ^^
This is better set for KETO forum, but yes, most likely it would.
Keep in mind with Keto you are aiming for <5% of your macros being carbs, which is less than 25grams for most people. But, if it's a carb up day, you would be knocking yourself anyway, correct???

No, vodka and other hard liquor contains zero carbs.
Ignore, misread.
Your liver cannot burn fat and process alcohol at the same time.
I do not drink and that is the only way I can maintain single digit bodyfat and clean bulk.
Drinking will set you back at least 48 hours and up to a week on a binge.
Alcohol lowers testosterone and that is why you get frisky when you drink because your body is trying to stimulate testosterone production.
Nothing good comes of getting your drink on and no it is not OK to do it on carb up days.
If you are trying to lose fat then you would be best served going on the wagon until your ultimate goal is met. Hopefully you will choose to cut out alcohol entirely once you realize it is just stopping from obtaining your goals.

yeah most people assume it has carbs since its made from potatoes. but nope, not 1 carb in it
I'm assuming that zero carb alcohol will not knock you out of ketosis, but will hinder it, since the body starts burning alcohol for energy.
