Sure, as long as it hasn't sat out in the weather, and it has the liftoffs and safety bars with it.
For any of you that has or know anything this rack can I buy and attach dip handles to it?

If this is the Smith with the gun rack up front and lat stack in the back I do not believe so.

Looks like a plain cage/rack based on the picture he sent. No attachments etc.
Is it this rack?

I refurbished that one and sold it for $400. It was a nice sturdy rack and if I remember right the hole diameter allowed for tons of accessories to be bought.

I picked one up while back and a dip attachment was included. It hooked over one of the swords and felt pretty sturdy.

Yes the rack looks like that. Is it worth $250. How much are the dip attachments and where can I get them?

Bodysmith/Parabody has been off the market for several years. Your only chance at finding a factory Dip attachment is on the used market, and your chances would be extremely slim.
New York Barbell sells some generic attachments; they may possibly have something that would work.
Or am I better off just adding another $250 and get a powertec rack? Are they comparable in quality?
If you could find a decent pic of the factory Bodysmith/Parabody dip attachment, you could probably have one made by a local welder/fabricator for less than the $250 it would cost you to "upgrade" to the Powertec rack.

I think he would be better off spending the extra money on a Powertec.
Besides the included dip handles, it also has closer hole spacing, better safeties (less room required to adjust), and an offset rear lower cross member, wich provides more room inside the rack.
For $250, it's a no brainer.
You're probably right. I don't have any experience with either rack, so I can't offer an opinion as to which way he should go. I was just pointing out an option that some folks might overlook when looking at used racks.

It's your money, and I don't know how much you have available to spend.
For myself, I'd buy the used rack, and then spend the other $250 on a good bar and/or more plates.

Parabody has always been noted for having good quality.
i personally feel all my parabody equipment is heavier built than powertech. you can do dips by placing bars across your safety bars or find a used dip chair for $50-$75. IMO, the powertech rack isn't $250 better than the parabody.

agreed. I don't know about the Bodysmith line, but the Serious Steel definitely was.
