My calves will NOT grow!
I had a girl tell me last night.... "You're so good at track but your calves are so SMALL and PUNY!"
Then I pulled up my shorts and flexed my quad and she goes "oh my god I would have never imagined that on you"
This made me raaaaaage and I want big calves now....
Why is it that all the muscle is in my hips/thighs?

My thighs are good but my calves are the same size as my knee maybe a little smaller.... and they just have this weird small look to them. I'll try to post pics later
I run a lot, I can high jump pretty high, calf raise a lot of weight, my calves are just small as crap
I work my calves 2-3 times a week with standing and seated calf raises usually at 4 sets of 15-20 reps
HELP

My calves are getting pretty big, lmao, probably the biggest part of my body because I go super hard on them since I started working out for bball.
I don't have no machines, nothing. I stand on a staircase and take my heels off the stairs, pick up 30 pounds, do regular calf raises. 20 seconds later, I'll do single leg for both legs.. I'll do this 2-3 times, so 3 sets of regular and 3 sets of single with like 20 second breaks..
I foun the best way to work calves is by taking really short breaks, imo.

its just genetics my calves suck too and i hit them hard.
guy in my gym that i talk to has twig legs even his upper legs suck, but damb are they strong as hell ive seen him training legs intensley its obvious he eats right too because he is a smart smart guy also his upper body is big but not to the point where he looks like he juices.
genetics are weird.

My calves are just all mussy i hate them

You probably just have high calve inserts. From what I hear, people with high inserts tend to be faster, but big calves you shall have nawt

this is probably the deal, because my calves are also short and small... that picture I posted didn't work.
but yeah the actual gastrocnemius only goes down about a fourth of the length of my lower leg

same. was butt naked in the changing room today (u mad u weren't there?) trying on bathing suits
I wtf'd at how small my calves are compared to the rest of me. I don't even take leg training seriously at all and they still make my calves look like nothing.

Yeah i suffer from skinny a** calves too. I'm working on it though, try heavy seated calf raises.

Calves used to be my weakest part on my body... Now i have trained them and they blew up and are now bigger than my arms. If you want my advice hit calves 3-4x a week. Do 3 exercises.. Standing raises, Seated raises, Heavy smith/bb raises. I did 3x20 when i did em but with a diff. routine im doin a 15-8-6-8-15 now.

Blast the **** out of them with slow and controlled reps.
-
3 things:
1) FST-7-style training
2) DC-style training
3) Calories
Prepare for growth. :)

theres no magic answer, you will have to try as many differant things as you can think of. Keep your diet the same and try each method for at least 8 weeks, if your getting no results after that long then change. Everyone responds to things differantly...
-
OP, heavy farmers walks are where it's at.
And olympic lifting will get you sick calves too.
-
Try donkey calf raises out they seem to be working well on mine.
