i just read an article in this months muscular development that said a study was done on the perfect pushup and the perfect pullup and neither have any muscle building advantages over regular pushups and pullups. thats just one study though

I dont know whether the twisting motion would help you, but the fact that it raises you farther off the ground, allows for more distance, which would be benificial.
Btw, I love mine :)

The lift it gives you off the ground would deffently be benificial, whenever Ive used one i always felt the twist worked my forearms and triceps more then my chest.
Since the pecs pronate the forearm =)
may come in handy should you ever need to go elbow deep on a zebra...

i 2nd this, it is in the current issue for this month.
the study was done by the Mayo Clinic. They also performed this study on the perfect pullup and found that it was no better than a regular pull up.
The biggest advantage is comfort.
I wouldn't care so much about the twisting, I think the more important factor would be the stress on your wrists. But then again, I hate pushups just for that reason (Edit: Even before my surgery, lol).
