Pretty impressed with the Top 5 this year.
Specially impressed with Nasser and Flex, off course Coleman we all knew.
Nasser looked pretty good. I actually think he looks better here than in 1997.

Nasser looked brilliant there. Dat FDB, and dat everything except for his back lol.
And sweet baby batman! Ronnie obliterated that line up!
1) ronnie
2) levrone / nasser
4) flex
Just how i see it, call me blind
You know what, I f*cking hate Flex's smugness. Such a creepy weirdo.
dont care what you say

what about the lower body conditioning? not to mention size
Great pictures. What strikes me is that the top 5 all look fantasic. You really have to look closely to find weaknesses and it takes time to compare each of them to decide who is better.
Nasser looks amazing. I even think his back is great.
Put any of those top 5 on stage today and they probably win.
Sad how in today's Mr Olympia, it is easy to pick out weaknesses. Phil was great, but from Jay on down, everyone had some bad flaws that just stood out.
what about the lower body conditioning? not to mention size
^^^this. BDB has an entire lower body to account for.
honestly, after looking at these...i'm wondering how flex managed second. people talk about "robberies" all of the time, but THIS is never talked about.
i realize you have to be "at the show" to really know, but as i see it here...flex should have placed behind nasser and levrone AT THE VERY LEAST. just my opinion though.
Hey Iceman do you have the 99 Arnold DVD? I wanna see Kevin vs Nasser.

Where can I get some of the drugs you are on?
Ronnie's legs, glutes, lower back and overall thickness ****s on flex. Flex has great separation and detail in his upper back. That's not even close to winning the pose.
Ronnie all the way.

Nasser looked amazing this year. It's just a shame about his BDB.

Yep and Comier should have been second!
Ronnie's side chest in 1998 is probably the best side chest of all time. The seperation he had combined with the fullness was unique. Such a shame that I am 14 years to late in New York right now, I would have given everything to be a witness of the moment that changed bodybuilding forever.
Love looking back at previous olympia's

Personally i think ronnie dominated but have a feeling he wouldnt of won had he not the blown the others away when it comes to his lower body conditioning from the rear.
At first it looked like Flex can at least stand next to Ronnie from the front, but then they turned around and the lat spread Ronnie flared out melted the judge's brains.

such a shame nasser couldn't hang from the rear, from the front i would have had him winning the show, aside from a bit of conditioning
Ronnie clowning on them fools from the rear
flex's calves are a disgrace

You're not wrong in a way. But thats why it was so unthinkable for him to have won that year. Ronnie made all these small adjustments from the previous year. Before 98, I don't think he ever brought his razor glutes(wut) plus the sudden detail in his physique.
