no one knows the answer huh? smh
Noone's going to know, because players vary..
But you really need to lift for basketball because it's a contact sport too.
I'm starting this week.. Gonna be playing with college and senior highschool kids in a few weeks.
My guess is you are trying to determine if guys like Dwight Howard are naturally jacked or if they lift heavy.
The answer is........
They lift heavy, have sound nutrition, and get adequate rest.
Let's not disregard genetics

yeah u guessed right. but im a bball player myself and go to the gym often to lift weights and i just wanted to know how i compare with how much they lift. now they will obviously be lifting more than me but i just wanna see the exact numbers
I may be wrong but I think Joey Graham holds the record for the most reps in the nba combine (when they first enter the nba) for bench pressing 130 pounds. 130 pounds sounds really low though.. but it was 30 reps (I think) of whatever they have to bench press in the combine.
If you search Ben Wallace there should be stats on his lifts. He is or is one of the strongest players in the nba.
