Mass Gainers worth it?
I'm very skinny, with a fast metabolism, and I'm starting to workout and trying to put on mass. I was wondering if mass gainers are worth it, or only stick to protein shakes? Was thinking about buying BSN True-Mass, or just Optimum 100% Whey. What should I do?

just eat more food, you can make your own weight gainers with PB, fruit, oats, milk, and proten powders.
i think weight gainers are only good for the convinance and on the go... any other time i think you should make your own, plus you'll save some money

thats pretty much it right there. you can pickup a weight gainer for a backup or if you dont have the time to make your own. making your own will always be the best option if you know what to put in it.

I have the same problem putting on weight and have had some success with weight gainers...
I have used them more so for conveniance though, when I am travelling for work. They can be pricey, but still cheaper then eating clean at an airport!

Mass Gainers can be convenient, as long as you are not drinking a shake that is loaded with fat/sugar.
Try to find one that offers a good quality protein blend (not just whey concentrate) and also has some fiber to help with digestion. It is also important to look at how much powder is required for each shake; some products call for a bucket of powder just to make one shake.
Otherwise you can just pick up a good quality protein powder and mix it with oatmeal, milk, etc. to meet your needs.
