You should have her do box squats.
Have her try overhead squats. Holding a light barbell or even a broom stick overhead and going into a full squat. A barbell would be especially helpful since she'd be more aware of where the weight is and force her not to lean forward but to sit back. Make sure she's holding the barbell more behind her head as long as shoulder flexibility allows. Otherwise I agree with the others who've suggested box squats.
Here is the vid and about the best I can get out of her in a regular squat, we tried box squats this morning and she would just fall over backwards with the broom stick trying to sit down then bring her ass straight up with out lifting the bar. She was tired (Had done about 40 reps at that point) and getting up set cause she couldnt do it so I figured we would try overhead another day.

If I sold smith machines for a living I would say yes but as I don't do that for a living it's a no.
