Like the thread says, wtf is the tingle that Beta Alanine causes?? What exactly is it doing to your body causing it to tingle?? I've searched but all I ever read is just that you get a tingle from it. Well, what is the damn tingle!! Why is it doing that?? I get the tingle and sometimes it feels all hot and itchy, kinda annoying. Anyone, anyone...

From MAN's FAQ on Body Octane regarding its ß-Alanine...

I don't trust that MAN company...I only buy MASS Tabs, Anator, 17-HD and I only buy from trusted, reputable companies such as the fine makers of those products.

Plus, I don't like creatine so it definately will be in my arsenal for a long time. It's just that sometimes I feel nothing, and other times I get that damn tingle and flushing sensation...which is annoying. But, it's a must have so hopefully I'll get used to it.
I hated the tingling lol...I had a lot on my ass cheeks..it was weird but I made it through and so can you...as long as I can benefit from it..I don't really care lol
Yeh I was in the car, rubbing my back against the seat like a cat for ages. I also got realy hot, I'd describe it as ichy aswell.
If you dose it more frequently and at smaller doses the "tingling" isn't much of an issue and you still reap all the benefits from ba supplementation.

I agree 100% that damn MAN company. I hate everyone that works for them. That guy that goes by Androgenic is a real tool.
I tried a sample of Purple Wraath but never got these much talked about 'tingles'. Are some folks more likely to get them than others?

Pw has a low dose of Beta-Alanine, so thats probably why you didnt feel the tingle.....if you take 3-4g at a time you will probably feel it.
After a week or so when your muscles become saturated with BA, the tingling stops and then you will miss it. I do :( I always looked at it as if I can feel it, I know it is working.

yeah, same here. but whatever, so long as things don't burn as much, I know it's working.
Anyone have some more reading about beta-alanine? I find it somewhat amazing that the switch of a few molecules around it has a totally different physiological role than it's alpha-beta alanine counterpart.

Yea at first the tingling sensation was very annoying, but after a week or so, I got used to it. I remember on my 3rd day i started scratching my back and got all these red bumps..

I disagree.
First of all, the "tingle", which i wouldn't even describe as "tingle", is going to affect people to a different degree. 1 dose of PW gets me itchy as hell.
Secondly, IMO, 3-4g in one setting is not ideal.

lol....i never said it was ideal, I was just saying that you will feel it more with a higher dose. I take 2g at a time and dont feel anything, but if I take all 4g at the same time, I tingle. Just an obvervation.....lol.....not science.

This thread of ours covers allot of information about the science of Beta-Alanine and carnosine. Skip down about half the first page if you don't want to read about the product and get right into the science. If you have the time, thoroughly read through it as there is allot of very specific info in there as well as studies posted and much more....
