Im 137lb with a 14% body fat, if I want to reduce that to 9% body fat while maintaining my lean mass what will my end mass be? In other words, how heavy would 5% of my body fat at 137lb be? Thanks in advance.

you would be lighter then my wife at 9% bf.
7 lbs of fat.
You definitely should bulk first though. Also whats your height?

It doesn't exactly work like that, % changes as body mass changes. But you'll need to lose around
omg I think I did it right (I suck at math) (just came up with this now but it makes sense)
137 * 0.14 = 19.18 Fat
Desired BF% = 9% = 0.09
x = weight you need to lose, assuming it's all fat
(137-x)(0.09) = (19.18 - x)
12.33 - 0.09x = 19.18 - x
x-0.09x = 6.85
x = 6.85/(1-0.09)
x = 7.53lbs

you could have just
137/100
1.37*5
= 6.85

intredasting... although if I hadn't set it up like that I wouldn't have known to do 6.85 / (1-0.09).
I had no idea that (137*[BF%change])/(1-[final BF%]) would equal that.. mind ****ing blown
Lol @ overcomplicated maths.
Inaccurate in any case as you can't predict how much non-adipose body mass you would lose
C'mon guys, just find 10% of 137 which is 13.7 and half it. no need for any calculations outside of simple mental arithmetic :/

Id go up to 160 and do heavy compound lifts to get a bigger frame and the mass. Just dont breakaway and become fat but keep your mindset on your final goal. Its a marathon not a sprint.

alright thanks man, its normal that i can't see my abs right now right? cos i haven't started cutting..
You ****ed up the wording in the title.
5% of your bodyfat (19.18lbs) would be equivalent to .959lbs
6.8lb of fat to get to 137lb at 9% 6.8lb of muscle gain if you lost that with out gaining muscle you would lose water to Wen i had 26% fat got done to 85kg I still had 13% so half is water weight you lose so I lost 15kg fat with 15kg of water from 115kg to 85kg.
Do not cut. Do not cut. Do not cut. Do not cut. Do not cut. Do not cut.
