try messaging the muscle, it seems to help me when im feelin really sore.
They will continue to ache if you only do once a week. Now I do squats every 2-3 days. I switch off between front squats and back squats. Adaptive response keeps me from walking like I got a visit from Bubba the previous night.
Foam rolling.

My legs stopped getting sore when using ^this^ approach.
Otherwise, I stretch my upper and lower hamstrings. Lower hamstrings you just have to reach and touch your toes with your back straight in several positions, for upper hamstrings I use a yoga stretch. http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/2497
I usually try a couple cold showers after leg day..seems to work. Drink lots of water, and try some very light cardio (stationary bike)
Time. Only time.

This. Maybe some stretching will also help.
Stretch after your workout next time.
I know how you feel OP, I try to train legs when I can but I can't sometimes because I need my legs for my job and whatnot, It takes me a good 4 days to recover and not walk like I just took it in the azz.. IT sucks!!
Do some air squats to get some blood moving through.
do some light cardio, like some walking at a higher-than-usual pace or stationary bike as was advised. For me, soreness is going off at first 2-3 hours of the next day, if i am pretty active and stay on feet.
Reasoning for that is increased blood flow to your muscles washing away lactic acid which causes soreness, at least afaik.
Just eat. Serious. Just try having your cheat meal the meal after your leg workout. Or just a huge dinner high protein/carb dinner. Probably considered broscience but I sware it helps.

stretching does not decrease muscle soreness
Are you running after your workout is over?
I didn't use to do this, then my workout partner now has me do a run after my leg workout and I feel so much better.
Good luck.
cold shower after ur leg day sometimes helps
