is 315 deadlift good?
my friend said he had a 315 deadlift that wasnt his max for some school weight lifting thing but he dosent look big is that good??
edit: hes like 6 foot + and around 160lbs. he dosent look big at all. the sad thing is he has pictures so i have to believe him lol.
-
Any teen that can deadlift 315 is pretty strong.
-
depends how big your friend is and how often he tells lies
-
i'm 225, wtf does that mean lol.
-
Yes, IMO, it's good for a teen. Take the average kid from your high school, I bet he can't DL 315.
-
depends on age, size, time training etc
well done him for actualy deadlifting
-
Id bet the average teen now days cant DL 200lbs, Certainly not from my Secondary School.
-
Depend's on alot of different factors.

I my self deadlift 315 for 3 on my last set and WITH GOOD FORM
Alot of people do it incorrectly. but if your a medium build, in 11th grade, it says, that 345 is considered good, 315 isnt even listed
so i guess Alot of people cant do it, cause i deadlift more then all my friends, but its nothing special. I think 405 and up is like impressive

You'll be making a lot more progress focusing on your own gains and PRs instead of wondering so much about others.

I saw a guy the other day doing deadlifts, and of course he was skinny and looked new to lifting.
He would keep his legs 100% straight, and hunch his back over to pick up the barbell.... his form was 200% WRONG.
YOU MUST FIRST USE YOUR LEGS, THEN USE YOUR BACK. You must keep your back counter-hunched. Arch it so that your ass sticks OUT.
I can only deadlift maybe 230lb max...... if your friend is 6'0 160 and really can DL that, he must be a strength of nature

I would say a 400 and up deadlift for highschool would be impressive but it just depends on different factors like weight and other things.

I saw a guy the other day doing the same thing.... expect he was pulling 315. His back must have hurt after.

wat????? Are you serious?
-
wat was wrong with the lift. Any deadlift is legit as long as you get it up. Just some can cause injury if not lifted properly. But like I said nothing wrong with that lift.
-
Ya I said that guy had a good lift
