Big Arms
Now I see some guys at the mall, restaurants, or work, and just looking at their arms they look huge and well defined.
Now since I started lifting my arms have gotten much bigger in these 4 months, but just standing there with a shirt on they don't have that holyS#$t look to them. They look good when they are pumped or when I flex but not just standing there like some guys.
Is this something that will come in time? Am I buying the wrong shirts? I don't have a high peek?
I want big arms without flexing!

You need to give it more time than just 4 months. I know the look you desire but it doesn't happen over night. Patience, hardwork, good nutrition and rest are all key to growth.

A lot of that look is from well developed tris, they push bis out. My arms are vascular and defined now when not flexed....took a year tho..4 months LOL
And yes I know, I need to update pics. Trust me My chest and arms are now a road map

Of what state?

Just how big were you expecting your arms to be after 4 months of training?
I don't get it, we must have all these people running around thinking that the only thing that seperates them from the look of an IFBB pro is a couple of months in the gym. The mind boggles.
Not sure how to answer this post...
Yeah it a T-shirt, you just need a better T-shirt.

Alot depends on genetics. Also how low your BF is. Arms have always been my worst bodypart.

When someone says they have 20 inch arms is that usually measured flexed or not flexed?

20 inch?? Most likely flexed...or very fat.

Generally flexed but in bb.com shorthand 20 inch usually means somewhere around 16.5 inches.

to the average person, a defined 16" arm is going to look rather stout. a defined 17" arm looks really big
a defined 18" arm would probably be "huge" to the average mall walker
I have had my fatceps up to 18" and no one noticed....then any kid walks in with cut 15.5" arms and the whole gym stops and gawks.
so dont forget how low bodyfat will make a small arm look way bigger due to the sharp contours etc
set long term goals and gradually reach them...dont be in TOO much of a hurry

Also the frame changes the look, I have short arms that will get a second look - but my arm size wouldn't be terribly impressive on a lanky guy.

I'm a little slow; I just got it!

I only stuck 20" arms in there for a reference. The stats everyone has in their body space page where you put in your measurements. For arms is that flexed or not?

Big muscular arms are something I've always wanted, and I guess I'm there now with slightly over 17 inchers. (cold flexed)
It takes years to get good sized arms, not months.
I've found the cut and believe it or not, colour of a T shirt can make a huge difference to look and size of your arm.
I tend to wear vests a lot, but a T shirt with a very short or capped sleeve in black can make the upper arm look it's biggest.
I know if I wear this kind of gear my arms look enormous!
