Need a Cool BIG Lunchbox
Okay, obviously we're all pretty freaky about our food and that can often mean that we're lugging around our food all day.
My school/work schedule means I can be away from my house for as long as 9 hours! So, I really need a good lunchbox. It must be big (I typically carry two 1.5 c tupperware and 2 4c tupperware - at least), it must be not-too-awful-looking (I dress professionally for my job) or too-kiddie-looking (I'm a 21 year old that substitute teaches at high schools - I get mistaken for a kid too often already!), and it must be insulated.
Does anyone have any good lunchbox suggestions? I've been cruising the internet for days but I'm not really satisfied. The one lunchbox that I actually like just doesn't seem insulated enough. It's made out of wet-suit-ware and says it'll keep foods cold for 4 hours...

I keep a big cooler in my car.How often can you go to your car? You can leave it all in there or just take what need to get you buy the first part of the day and get the rest later.

I use a soft one and use ice packs in it...does that make sense? it's very unobtrusive and you probably wouldn't know it's a cooler unless you knew...

I got a great one man cooler (available in pink and blue) and I can keep everything in it... one of those soft zippable ones.... I also put in my chicken breasts frozen so that they stay cool but defrost throughout the day as I don't have access to a fridge at work.... and in teh summer it gets up to way over 100F... and I've not had food poisoning yet...

I use a blue poly coleman cooler, the largest one with a swing up handle, not the one with a handle at each end. Add three frozen ice packs and it will keep everything cold all day in a hot closed car in the sun. Usually 4-6 tupperwares, a jar of milk and a jar of orange juice or some other drink, silverware, with room to spare.

all of these suggestions sound excellent - I'm just about to change jobs and I'm not too sure what I'm gonna do about lunch because at my current job I have a fridge

Someone on a different thread suggested going to the baby/maternity store and getting one of those insulated bags that people use to carry around several bottles of milk.

The softer coolers are very nice to have, you can squish them to fit anywhere and they are more forgiving when you need to put some more tupperware in them. I found mine in the sporting good section at walmart.

lunch box
i saw a feature on bodybuilding.com of a lunch box that was amazing, you could fit everything inside and it could even keep your shaker cup on the outside and keep it cool. i haven't been able to find it again since. anyone know what company made that lunch box?

I bought a large soft-covered cooler at Walmart and attached it to a luggage rack on wheels and I take all my food in that everyday. It can get heavy because i use glass microwaveable bowls instead of plastic and a big bottle of water, so having it on wheels is great. It has a large front pocket for all the other stuff I need...wallet, GPS, keys etc.
