IV's Just Getting It Done Journal
Thought I will give this a try; maybe I can get some pointers and some encouragment along the way.
A little recent history, in 2002 I was diagnosed w/ diabetes and following the doctors advice a started excercising. Weight lifting was the course of action I chose.
The spring of 2003 I was in a automobile accident that left me with a torn rotator cuff, stress fractures of several thoracic and cervical vertebrate, a few 'chipped' vertebrate, partially detattched rhomboid, massive tearing and subsequent scarring of the traps, lats, and deltoids.
After missing 10 weeks of work, and enduring 10 months of physical therapy - I attempted to resume a scaled down version of my prior weight lifting routine.
All was going well, unitl last November. I added squats & deadlifts to my repertoire. The vertebrate and rhomboids could not handle the load, and I was right back into Physical Therapy.
Last week I decided to give it another chance; while doing a warm-up set of front raises with a set of 10 pound dumbbells - something 'popped' in my back and the traps swelled right back up. Went to the doctor on Monday - no real damage, so I should be able to try again once the inflammation goes away.
So here is where you all can chuckle at me...
My current routine consists of doing
-3x10's of I-Y-T's w/o weight
-3x10's of rowing w/ my green 'rubber band'
-3x10's of the rotator excercises the PT prescribed w/ my green 'rubber band'.
Kind of pathetic isn't it?
