subway is not as healthy as it is made out to be, however it is much healthier than many other fast food options and if choosing what you eat wisely, can be good :) i would recommend going with the whole wheat, or honey oat or multigrain bread. meat subs are good such as cold cut, steak, chicken just stay away from pizza, meatball and more of the nitrate based meats. add lots of veggies, and stay away from sauce as much as possible too many empty calories and carbs. footlong all day!!!

i usually eat a 6" steak and cheese or the grilled chicken when i do buy subway but even tho subway seems like a healthy choice it isnt as healthy as you may think
the bread for one footlong has a full days recommended amount of sodium so by eating one footlong you are actually taking more than a days recommended amount of sodium which isnt good for you
if your bulking get as much **** on there as you want. but when cutting stick to wheat bread turkey possibly cheese depending on IIFYM veggies and vinegar

No such thing as healthy or unhealthy food.
When I go to Subway, I get a footlong Italian Herbs and Cheese bread with Italian BMT (double meat), pepper jack cheese (double cheese), pickles, olives, and mustard. In terms of taste, nothing can come close.
oven roasted chicken, double meat

You can go on their website, choose your sandwich/toppings/dressing and it will tell you the nutritional value if you are serious about counting your calories. It is pretty helpful if you are seriously going to eat it nearly everyday.

Personally, I get a footlong spicy italian (no homo jokes -.-), with cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, peppers, pickles, ranch, and mayo. I checked online and it turned out to be 1450 calories, 102g of fat, 89g of carbs, and 43g of protein.
Since I'll be bulking now, I will also be cutting on fat, so I decided to go with the same sandwich but turkey breast and sweet onion dressing rather than salami and pepperoni. This sandwich has 690 calories, 14g of fat, 105g of carbs, 39g of protein.
In the end, it has less calories because of the much lower fat content, same carbs (good for bulking) and the same amount of protein. As a result, I'll just have a snack afterwards to make up for the lost calories.
Most have a lite mayo (not too bad and less fat/cals than reg)...vinegar and oil is good....chipolte is good taste and a small amt goes pretty far. Main thing with subwaybis pretty high in sodium

Footlong Italian BMT on Italian Herbs and Cheese, Pepperjack cheese, with lettuce, pickles, green peppers, and jalapenos. A little bit of pepper. And absolutely no sauces of any kind.
footlong roasted chicken breast on herb/cheese. provolone, lettuce, tomato, onions, sweet onion sauce or honey mustard. Delicious

No such thing as a healthy or unhealthy food? Compare a big mac to grilled chicken avacado and brocklee?
footlong BMT on wheat, pepper jack, no onions, w/ vinegar and oil
I always eat footlongs. (no homo)
I work at subway.
I've checked the nutrition facts of most things and all of their breads essentially have the same "stats". I would go with their steak and cheese or oven roasted chicken to hit your macros. These two meats are the leanest and have the most protein per 6 inch serving (22g and 24g respectively). One swoop of chipotle southwest sauce or mayo is about 100 calories so use discretion. Go with as many veggies as you want and get olive oil for healthy fats and calories.
Subway is actually very clean and I would eat anything there besides the seafood and tuna. Our seafood comes in a compressed package then we break up the "fish" and mix it with a phuckload of mayo. Gross. Tuna is sometimes old (no longer than two days though) so I don't eat it. Everything else is fantastic however. Our subway is the highest grossing in our 200 mile radius and its extremely clean.
Cliffs
-eat steak or roasted chicken
-herbs and cheese, wheat, or honey oat
-chipotle southwest and ranch are 100 calories per swipe
-get olive oil for healthy fats and calories
-never get seafood or tuna
-try the avocado
