mine is good for 8-9days in my fridge :)
youll know if it goes 'bad'. there will be an distinct smell haha

If your going to keep chicken in the fridge for awhile I would suggest not spicing it untill you use it, or 1 day before. Some spices will actually start breaking the meat down.

If the chicken is bad, you're going to know the second you open the bag. Still, I usually wait until day of to do any seasoning/marinading.

is it completely frozen when you put it in the fridge? if so 8-9 days definitely reasonable it takes about 5-6 days to fully defrost in my fridge when i do this.
to OP like people are saying you will know the minute you smell it if it is still good

Seriously? I've defrosted chicken breasts in a couple of different fridges at different places and every time the ~150g chicken breast has fully thawed in less than 12 hours.
I really doubt a piece of chicken meat would take 6 days to defrost.
^ not sure if this has anything to do with it, but i don't defrost just one chicken breast at a time when i defrost my chicken the package is usually 4-5lbs so its a big frozen block

nope. its fully cooked when i put it in the fridge. i know when its bad lol very distinct smell. i usually consume about 8-10lbs of chicken per week. and it takes me 5-6days to eat it up. but once in a blue moon, if i cooked a little more, its still good till the 8th day or so. i know bad meat smell. u cant miss it haha

he is talking about how long it can stay in the fridge before cooking. 8-9 is too long even for cooked chicken imo.
