Over course its possible.. Get your chit from meats.
Protein powder is a SUPPLEMENT use it if you cant hit your macros on food alone.
Saying that, you can't make sludge with chicken..
yes of course you can as long as you have protein from a variety of foods.
although I would like to bring to your attention that whey protein has the best amino-acid profile vs. any whole food and is the most inexpensive in terms of cost per serving
protein power is used for ease of use.
just because u take it isnt going to make you stronger then others that dont
250g of skinless boneless chicken breast has more protein than most protein shakes.
I'm about to find out, bought the fruit punch ON Whey protein, **** is ****ing disgusting !! I can't drink this pos every day, I almost puke everytime
Of course is is possible.
Many people use it because it is just convenient & if you buy unflavoured, no additives stuff then it has basically no cals except protein.
Without it you'll just have to eat more steak, chicken, eggs etc & have less cals left over for other things.
i dont take any protein supplements. i only have a multi.
ok cheers for the reply people.
another question how many grams of protein should i be eating a day?
also what food has high protein content.
ps im about to go have 2 burgers which have 14g of protein each.

so im 154 pounds. i should eat around 154pounds of protein?
also what about creatin?
The fact you made this thread would indicate you haven't learned the basics of nutrition when it comes to bodybuilding. Go read the nutrition stickies
also what about creatin?
Protein powder and creatine can only help you, so if you are serious I would invest in them. Are they miracle products? No, but every little bit helps and you could get both for like 50 bucks, dont see why you wouldnt.
so im 154 pounds. i should eat around 154pounds of protein?
I'm afraid that if you tried to eat 154 pounds of protein you would die before reaching the 5'th pound.
Creatine is good for you, take 5g a day, everyday

Dammit I Lol'd hard as fuk! GRAMS per lb of body weight bro lol u would definitely see massive gains from 154 lbs of protonz a day tho haha
havent bought protein powder in years.
of course, that's why it's called a supplement and not a requirement. I dropped the shakes due to cost and substituted 4 eggs in the morning in it's place. If anything, my strength gains went up. Get your protons from food whenever you can.
ice1cube on youtube doesn't take any protein powder. He just eats a lot.
I very rarely have protein shakes(1-2 per week)
Whole food protein source> supplement protein source

He's gotta stay natty for a while man.

Why would you buy a Fruit Punch flavored Milk Shake? Why not chocolate or vanilla or banana? Your choice leads me to believe you are not a good chooser.
If I can find a cost effective solution I'm going to ditch protein shakes altogether
Imo they're overpriced as fuark in the U.K
one my best mates does, but he says its only possible because hes balling and can afford to eat a sh*t ton of meat and food everyday, his food shopping bill is stupidly expensive.
the only supps i take are
whey
creatine
fish oil
multi vitamin
real food > supplements
erry time
Currently cycling different protein powder brands, don't want my body to adapt to it, ya no?

5 eggs is around 30g of protein and only run $1.50/12 over here
protein is protein is protein
final question.

i just fry mine and eat it with buttered toast
