Cellucor C4 Extreme, Legal for military members?

So Im in the military and just picked up Cellucor C4 Extreme with a friend and wonder if its legal for military members use?

Any thing that would cause it to raise a flag in a drug test?

Ive never heard anyone having this issue unless they are using very high doses of 1,3 dimeth, which shows as a false positive. Meaning the basic screen says DING DING, and then turns out to be a false reading. It's because it has similar properties to amphetamines.

Also, they sell it on base all over the country, and the product at those stores go through a screening process as well.

I dont feel any of our products would show a false positive with the current dosing in them. like C4.

Yes positive for Methamphetamine, use at own risk

Recently in the Marines there was two individuals who popped. C4 will make you pop if you take extreme amounts. I.e. more then the suggested serving size. Also even though it is sold on bases across the US you still get in trouble because YOU are responsible for what you put in your body.

Letter from JAG and other leaders from dif branches alerting their members...I have a bottle and that warning is not in my bottle. However, the picture that the Dept of Defense is disseminating does have the warning. Not sure if that is a different batch or what. Use at your own risk.

I'm sending this out as education for the masses. The supplement 'C4
Extreme' by Cellucor is currently the potential culprit affecting the future
of a Marine and Sailor in this command. They tested positive
(D-Amphetamine; high powered stimulant found in ******** a Schedule 1
Drug)on the Battalion's last urinalyses test for a substance that may be
found in this supplement. Both Marines vehemently deny any wrong doing and
both utilized this supplement. You can see the warning label on the
supplement cautioning members of the Armed Services against utilizing this
product if they are subject to urinalysis testing. This product is sold
inside GNC at the MCX. Per the Manual for Courts Martial no one really
cares how the service members ingested the substance or where they obtained
it. They are
still being processed and are currently at Base Legal determining their
options. Please educate your Marines on the risks they take by consuming
supplements.

I received this attachment and email traffic from another Installation IG,
who's installation is having some issues with
Soldiers/Sailors/Marines/Airmen testing positive on the urinalysis for
D-Amphetamine.

The individuals are taking supplements (some purchased at GNC on base) that
have warnings and disclosures indicating that ingestion of the supplements
will result in positive urinalysis. It specifically mentions military and
law enforcement personnel should refrain from utilizing supplement if
subject to urinalysis screening.

Please read the attachment and the correspondence below for details.
Additionally, please disseminate to your Soldiers accordingly.

We just recently received an Email out here in Misawa AB, Japan warning us about C4 making you pop on a urinalysis.

But then again, I just had a piss test 10 Dec 12, and I was taking about 1.5 scoops of C4 a day 5-6 days a week. I believe I even took it the morning prior, and I didn't pop. Usually they call you back if someone in the group pops, then they retest everyone individually.

This is an official response from Cellucor on the matter. Its a little bit to read, but it is necessary to explain the allegations against us, and what we have, and are doing to resolve the issue.

Catlin, M.D., was provided to our contacts at the military exchanges along with a letter from our counsel. We asked that this information be shared with all the necessary parties, but unfortunately it seems that many folks are still misinformed.


We are aware of the rumors and emails that have been circulated within the Navy and the Marine Corps regarding the "Warning" or "Important Disclosure" statement that we previously included on our labels. We believe that these emails and subsequent inquiries about whether C4 Extreme® contains ingredients that will cause a positive drug test are the result of a mistaken assumption stemming from the “Important Disclosure” statement. The Important Disclosure was intended to warn athletes about the possibility that our products may contain ingredients that, while safe and legal for consumers, are prohibited by some sports organizations. Many sports organizations have regulations or even prohibitions for athletes regarding the use of certain dietary ingredients and in some cases entire categories of ingredients. Therefore we placed this warning on a number of products as a way to protect athletes across the board by encouraging them to make a careful and informed choice. When we addressed this concern for sports, our legal department thought it made sense to include the armed forces and law enforcement in the Disclosure. Unfortunately, this has caused considerable confusion and ultimately was determined to be unnecessary, as the testing and prohibitions are very different from those of sports organizations. We immediately modified this warning to exclude any reference to the armed forces and law enforcement on all future labels. Our concern is that this Disclosure may have also led some to mistakenly conclude that our product could have been responsible for a positive drug test, when the intended purpose of the Disclosure was not to suggest that our product contained illegal drugs, but rather that our product may contain legal dietary ingredients prohibited for use by athletes.


Unfortunately, C4 Extreme® has been wrongfully accused of being the culprit, but it is clear C4 Extreme® was not in any way responsible for the positive drug tests that were reported. We continue to have great respect for the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces and we appreciate the need to investigate these matters in an effort to protect them. We always have and will continue to make products that are safe, effective and marketed responsibly and we look forward to continuing our great relationship and support of the U.S. Military.

I notice that ther was a lawsuit in 2012 concerning the DMMA substance and the legality of it being produced. Has this been removed from the C4? I did not see it on mine. I just purchased it las week.

Just concerned with having to take a drug test in 1 week for a new career.

thanks for posting this. It's being circulated up here at Fort Wainwright now too. Anytime someone pisses hot they want to blame their sups.

Military here... took 2 scoops in the morning a week ago and had urinalysis 5 hours later. We'll see how it turns out. Bought the C4 on base at GNC 8 days ago and they had this sign posted stating it would not test positive on military urinalysis.

No not yet. I think it takes like a month to come back so I'll update when I find out. Apparently numerous others in the unit also said they were taking C4 so I wont be the only one.

I've been taking C4 Extreme for a while, almost finished with the 1st container. I just had an Air Force Urinalysis yesterday, Sunday Feb 10, 2013. I took a recommended size serving on Thursday. I'll let you all know if I hear anything back on it.

C4 is a great product. I am on my third bottle within the last 3 months

Not positive for anything... I'm thinking that the guys who claimed C4 caused their positive were probably taking something else...
