Gym closed early tonight so I will do the intensity workout tomorrow night.
Recovery squats with 325.
Not sure how to feel about that.

Hard to believe that exactly one year ago I was using only 275 for recovery squat.

Did you fail the 3rd reps or just leave it? Amazing work either way
Did you fail the 3rd reps or just leave it? Amazing work either way
Did not attempt the third reps for bench press and deadlift.
I was planning to come in here and start up a little friendly trash talk about how a 405x5x5 squat is getting less impressive, but this week's squat session kicked my ass a little too much...
Well done getting over 450 for reps.

Nice work in here. Squats are just so deep and strong, mad jelly. How do you like the switch to triples?

Thanks. Can't seem to get 5x5x407.5 for the past few weeks.

Not a big difference, just using a bit more weight.

Do not know what is going on with press. Have not made any progress in months. Did not eat much this weekend, so that is why my weight is down.

Holy crap. Your numbers are so much more impressive given your BW. Never noticed before - respect.
Here's a really good article on pressing. It's helped me work up some decent press numbers as a novice lifter (150lbs 3x5) and the guy who wrote it, Paul Carter, knows his lifting. It might help you add a few lbs.

Thanks a lot! I was thinking I would be a 198 for my upcoming meet, but after seeing 186 last night I think I could get to 181 without too much effort.

I think I asked this before but have you thought about running TM progression on the press as well as bench? I know your a powerlifter and it's not one of the 3 lifts, but I don't think it would hurt your bench.
325 is your "recovery" weight? What the...? lol
Jeez. What does ID look like this week?

Just need to get the first rep for press and I can always bust out a few more.

I had that same problem with press, so much that my 1RM was barely above my 3RM. I started deadweighting every rep on my shoulders but I think it's probably better just to get the work in..

I just want to press 185, it has been far too long working with 175 for a few reps! I actually have been enjoying repping out 135 after I (usually) fail 175.

Perfect example of why you should never give up without trying. Did not feel like doing anything heavy today, but once I got to the work sets they felt so light.
