Sorry I can't help you, as I don't know myself, but I often grab a rotisserie chicken in ACME whenever I'm shopping and eat the whole thing for lunch lol

Well it depends on the size of the chicken. Usually about 600--800 calories without skin and 1200-1400 with skin.
c105 - I used to work at Costco and would eat a whole chicken on my break. I would hear people whispering about it in the background and then there'a always that dumbass that has to be like "So, you must really like chicken."

Damn, skin adds THAT many calories??
I heard the skin is just saturated fat, i could be wrong.
The skin is a mixture of saturated fats and other fats.
I eat the skin because I'm on keto but yes fat grams have almost double the calories of protein grams as far as it adding that many calories.

I'm giving this thread a ressurection to see if anyone has more info on the skin vs nonskin issue.
Also just cause it's a badass thread.
I'm in Palestine right now and the only decent protein meal I can get is roasted chickens. I've been combining that with canned corn and canned beans to make up the vast majority of my daily calorie intake. Everything else in this country tastes horrible. They try to immitate American food at some of the tourist places, but it's not the same at all and it costs an arm and a leg.
I'm a costco chicken eater and I do between .5 and 1 whole chicken a day. I would love it if someone had more of an accurate number. I think i might be able to figure it out basing off of other nutrition labels, but it wont be as accurate.

My estimates for a 2lb chicken come out to roughly 1600 with skin and 1100-1200 without.

Indeed. This was one of the first few hits that came up when googling this question.
So it appears that in terms of cost, a whole chicken without skin is the way to go. But for calories per gram, chicken breasts are a better option?
I just ate a whole jerk chicken with lots of fries. Also googled it and this thread came up.
6 years on and still going strong.lol
For what it's worth, calorie websites tell me it's anything between 1400-1800 depending on chicken size as well as sauces etc.

remove chicken skin
weigh whole (skinned) chicken, write down results
weigh chicken skin, write down results
eat chicken meat + skin (if you please)
weigh chicken bones, write down results
subtract weight of chicken bones from weight of whole (skinned) chicken
look up how many calories are in X amount of roasted chicken, use information to figure out how many calories were in in your whole (skinned) chicken, minus the bones...this is how many calories are in a whole roasted chicken without the skin.
look up how many calories are in X amount of chicken skin, use information to figure out how many calories were in the removed amount of skin. add to results above...this is how many calories are in a whole roasted chicken with the skin.
next time you can leave the skin on and have a decent estimate.

It's hard to say.. You would have to weight each part of the chicken separately, as the breast has less fat than the thigh or wing or drumstick. Then find an online database searching for each individual part of the chicken, I.e. "Chicken breast with skin, grilled/rotisserie/broiled.", "Chicken thigh with skin, grilled/rotisserie/broiled", etc.. This is assuming that there were no additives to the chicken for flavor (lemon, sauces, marinades, w/e).
Do you even track?

Or weigh it with the bones, then eat it and weigh the bones afterwards to subtract them from the original number (much less work as I like to gnaw on chicken straight off the bone)... Math ftw?
