No, that is not above average. I would say that is average maybe a little below. This would all depend on who you are comparing yourself to.
You are 6'2 and almost 200lbs and curling 70lbs.. id say below average lol. I'm at almost at 100lb curls and I feel below average at my gym.
Who the hell does a max bicep curl?
Who the hell does a max bicep curl?
ego lifters
Curl what allows you to get a good full range of motion with a locked in posture and no swing. A monkey can pile weights on a bar and hump it up, but if you are trying to isolate the biceps (which you are because you are doing curls) then use a weight that challenges your biceps, but you are still able to keep solid form with. You aren't training front delts. Don't let your or other peoples egos slow your progress mate.
wtf do you even bent over row?
Bro Tip: Do concentration curls with a slow, FULL range of motion.
who cares... curls are just an ego lift.
swinging your back wildly while struggling to bring the weight above stomach height does not constitute a 'curl'.

A proper bicep curl is not an ego lift.
But idgaf about the weights I use when working biceps, its all about the form imo. Dont get me wrong, im not going to be curling 20lb dumbells for a million reps but you get what im saying
bro what ever you can do 8 reps for 3 sets with being dead at the end that is what you should curl.
Bro do you even curl? 70 lbs? Srs!? Jk dude I curl 40 pounders with good form and for a good 4 sets of 8, keeping my elbow straight. Not very impressive I know, but if you can do the same with 70's, I'm impressed!

Hahaha!!! Never even thought about a max bicep curl.
Do ur 70s get your reps in dont worry about moving up in weight .. Just worry about doing lifts the right way and everything will follow.. Im one of the biggest guys in my gym and i pretty much always do at least 12 reps
