Do I have a decent base with which to start cutting? Or will I just go back to looking even skinnier?
I currently weigh 200lbs at 6'0, but feel a little fat/soft.
My end goal would be fitness magazine cover type physique.

You need to bulk another year at least.

I am by no means an expert, but based off your picture I would suggest bulking.
I'm 6'1 186 currently n plan to bulk to 195 before cut which should be beginning of April. For being 200 n still havin abs at your height I would say cut but you look like u could bulk a couple more months then cut for summer
If you want to cut and have a fitness model physique - you need to bulk up a bit. Your bf is low, so if it doesn't bother you, add on another 15 lbs. Alternatively, if it makes you sad not having abs all year round - f*** it - cut and get them. It will slow down your muscle gain - that is guaranteed - but you can always lean bulk and add the muscle after a short cut. It's up to you, but cutting now will leave you on the thin side.
just lift heavy and eat healthy..you look great and will look ever greater by summer..
no offense but cut for what? you need to bulk for a longggg time before you can start cutting.
Thanks a lot for a replies.
I basically wanted to cut because I feel a lot softer than in that picture eg perfect light and tensed, and also I wanted to up my aerobic fitness which has gotten pretty bad during bulking.
But I think you guys are right, and I will keep bulking for now.

200lbs @ 6''? Damn. I'm an inch taller than you are (but that's mostly neck... I have a long ass neck), look exactly the same but only weigh about 175lbs. Must be them heavy bones you have =p
I recently cut down to where you are right now (I'd gotten quite fatty) and everybody recommends me to simply slow bulk from here untill next (yes, next) summer if I can manage the fat... I guess we're sort of in the same situation.
Have you decided which course to persue?
NO keep on bulking
Cut what???? Continue the bulk.

Yeah 200lbs 6'0. I have a naturally wide frame so weigh a bit more than I look in the photo. I find it hard to look muscular due to wide frame/long limbs. Also my lower body is definitely stronger than my top half.
I think I will definitely bulk another couple of months before cutting for summer.
Then repeat the process next year.
Thanks to all for replies, and no need to write "no offence" im looking for comments, good or bad.
i think you would look good after a cut to below 10% bf, not enough size to look like a fitness model though.
but you don't have to keep bulking, you easily could bulk for another while longer because you are still pretty lean but everybody here will always tell you to continue bulking as its a body building site but if you feel like you'd be more comfortable droppping a to bit of BF at the moment i'd say go for it, you have plenty of time to slow bulk up some more after it. Its not like you'll never get big if you do a small cut now.
its really your choice what you want to do now and I think you are at a good point where you could bulk or cut with good results!
a nice lean slow bulk would do you wonders.
It's all going to depend on what your personal goals are. If you are ok with your size at the moment and would like to be leaner... then cut. If not, then bulk.
Take a look in the mirror and decide what will make you the most happy, and then do it.
Great replies again guys, thanks a lot.
Sorry I should have clarified, I didn't mean if I cut now will I look like a fitness model? I know I am a long way away from that. I just meant would I have a decent amount of mass to look good.
Good point about what personal goals are though, as I know a lot of people have different ideas of ideal.
I think I am going to continue to bulk for around 2 months, before cutting for summer. This is because although I want to be bigger I also don't like feeling soft etc and more to the point I would like to get aerobic fitness back which I struggle with during bulking.
Does anyone have any good cutting tips/experiences? Any times I have tried it in the past I just feel very weak/small and lose motivation, whereas I have seen good results bulking. I am assuming I have probably cut calories too much too soon in the past. For example should i be hungry going to bed at night?
Thanks again for replies, i'll rep when it lets me.

If you're aiming for that, i suggest you to bulk up for a while before cutting.
This is what happened to me when i cut too fast

]This is what happened to me when i cut too fast. i was probably somewhere inbetween 8-9%bf but when i goals of getting to 6% and realized that that weight was going to be super low i changed my mind and began bulking again lol
Even now after gaining more size im still reasonably lean, but my teammates still refer to me as "skinny strong" lol

Try keeping your weights moderate to heavy, and incorporate moderate high resistance spin for cardio. Keep your heart rate >142 bpm during your circuit and spin at moderate high resistance for 3mins inbetween circuit cycles. The HIIT lifting will ensure muscle growth and the spinning will keep you lean in the process. Eat well and you will clean bulk for sure. But keep the Spinning Lifting and eating in balance, as everyone is different. Once you figure out the balance... ahem.. ill say it like Menswearhouse "You're gonna love the way you look". I implement this routine year round and it keeps me clean and lean while i get to make the choice on whether i want to bulk a little more, or cut a little more for the beach and such... good luck bro.
