I personally drink almond milk because i used to be lactose intolerant and never got used to normal milk afterwards, and i dont believe in eating soy for a few reasons. Ive heard nothing negative at all about it, and i love the taste, almonds are healthy fats so i dont see anything wrong with incorporating it into a clean eating diet
j'adore almond milk!
almond dream is my personal favorite
I've had to switch from regular milk due to lactose intolerance. I alternate between soya milk and almond milk depending on what i fancy. I got used to the taste, its pretty good and i see no reason you cant have it as part of a clean diet. If anything, ive lost weight since i switched to soya/almond milk.
I love vanilla almond milk with a tiny bit of splenda added in. Yum! I'm sure the splenda nixes any health benefits the almond milk might have though. LOL
YUM! regular, unsweetened almond milk has 40 kcal/cup and is pretty satiating!

ditto! It's great in coffee! (as well as cereal, or just in a glass...haven't tried it w/ protein). My son LOVES it!
I heard on here somewhere though that there was a sugar free version? Is it totally sweetener free?
With everyone else...I LOVE almond milk! I don't eat dairy (by choice) because of all of the natural hormones milk contains (about 80% of milk is from pregnant cows=consuming their natural hormones). Out of all of the alternatives, soy, rice, and almond, I find almond by far the best one. I don't think its bad as far as the calories goes either.

There is a sugar free version, though I don't know if you can buy it everywhere. I think these are all the different types: http://www.bluediamond.com/shop/natural/almondBreeze32.cfm
If you can't buy it...I'll let you in on a secret.... it's easy to make yourself! :) Just put almonds in a blender with water, makes a nice smooth drink, and if you have any little almond bits/chunks, just strain them out (and still eat, because they're still good for you!!)
<3 unsweetened almond milk. It's expensive though. :(
Almond milk seems to be the only milk on the market that doesn't contain estrogen. I take it with coffee during comp prep.
I love it and buy it regularly.
If you want to use it for protein shakes, i suggest adding about 5 - 10% of water. I use muscle milk powder and it clumps up because almond milk is just a little too dense for it. Adding the bit of water helps a lot.
strong bump 2009 thread...
lol

Great with a shake, but on its own - no thanks. Also quite expensive, but maybe that's the UK for you.
Pretty much the only milk i drink.
It's the only milk I drink too! I love the stuff
