Adding some fat to whey?
Was taking muscle milk. Started Keto so I dumped that. Bought whey isolate. Very little sugar, but also low on fat. I know too much protein can throw you out of keto.
What is good to mix in with whey to balance out the fat/protein ratio without adding sugar? Heavy milk or cream? I was thinking a little oil in there would quickly add fat but I think that might make me hurl.
And I am aware "you don't need extra protein if you eat right" etc etc. I like to take one shake protein shake post workout with some creatine in it. Not taking 4 shakes a day.

2 tablespoons of olive oil, you wont notice it at all and it adds the fat you want.

Thanks man. I tried 1 tablespoon to start (with one scoop of whey, not sure if you meant a 1/1 or 2/1 ratio). Definitely an oily aftertaste but not even a little bit of an urge to yack. Works great.

Suppose it depends on a few factor (type of protein, amount of liquid, ect...)
I use 1 scoop of Trutein with 12 ounces of water and can't even notice 2 tablespoons of olive oil. But yeah, it is an easy way to hit fat macros if needed, or add more fat to a shake.

+1 heavy cream or half and half if your macros allow it (it usually has 1g of carbs per serving) and makes the protein shake taste like a smoothie :-)

Some all natural peanut butter will add healthy fats and taste good mixed into your shake. Chocolate whey, with PB tastes great.

50ml of cream and 200ml water or 50g of butter melted goes well.

^^^^ This. Natural Peanut butter, good fats, goes well with any flavor as long as it aint fruit
