Is butter allowed on low-carb ketogenic diets?
Hello all, i am trying a ketogenic, low-carbohydrate diet. And for breakfast i have a protein-pancake, made with a cup of egg-whites, 1 scoop of whey-protein powder and a spoon of butter. I add butter because i read that ketogenic diets should be higher on fats, moderate on proteins, and real low on carbs. I think i will decrease my protein intake and increase my fat intake.
So do any of you people eat butter in your diet? and what other fats are good?
